Yngch, they are amazing! Yes, the Boston cover is what I liked the most, he really sounds like Delp there.
Their harmonies are pretty great, even live they sound absolutely perfect!

Okay, I want to hear some opinions on one of the most underrated rock vocalists ever, Marty Balin of the Jefferson Airplane.
Grace Slick always got the spotlight and the notoriety (for good reason), but Marty's voice was just as good. He has a phenomenal tenor voice that often sounds a lot like Steve Perry...I think I even prefer his voice to Steve's. Check this stuff out!

Not bad Creep. I was never too impressed with Balin; evidently, thats because my knowledge of Jefferson Airplane ends at Surrealistic Pillow. Things are Better in the East was very good, quite enjoyable vocals aside.

Great voice, reminded me a bit of Geddy Lee at times.

WHAT? Oh no, no no no...
He's like a cross between Winwood and Perry...and I swear his phrasing is damn near on the same level.

What did you guys think of And I Like It?

I wonder if Marq Torien had ever seen David Lee Roth in action...

Not a bad singer, tho.

Does anyone think we should make a thread similar to the 'guitarists essential works' thread?

Nothing numbered. That way we can impart our knowledge onto others more easily, and the 'my dad>your dad' stuff should stop

Hmmm...now that I have a job again, I'm wondering what to get first - Queensryche's Rage For Order, or Helloween's Pink Bubbles Go Ape. Both Kiske and Tate are at their most tasteful and restrained on these albums.
