Can I post that on facebook?

Adrian Beltre is really fucking good. Even losing Cliff Lee he and Napoli have made the Rangers better than last year. I can't imagine a greater defensive swing from one year to the other removing Young from 3rd and adding Beltre.

Woof Lol-Sox. My hope now (as a Rangers fan) is first that the Rangers lock down the 2nd spot and then that the Rays and Red Sox go to a play in game. The Red Sox don't scare me at all with their pitching and their weakness against lefties. While the Rays scare me, in that scenario they have to burn Price and Shields instead of just Price.

The Red Sox just might be cursed again, I can't believe this is happening.

Thanks for the help, Phillies! Also good luck pgm and pat, I hope for a great series. Can't say I'm very optimistic about our chances, though.

Also x2 lmao@ Papelbon and the Red Sox. I hope the Rays pull through and beat the Yankees tonight; I've been almost as eager for the Red Sox to choke as I have been for the Cardinals to win the wild card.

edit Longoria! What a game from him. Lolsox

That was incredible. Just a perfect microcosm of the season. Through the first 7 in each is basically August and the rest is September. That rain delay murdered the Red Sox because they had to watch the Rays come back. Best night of regular season baseball I've ever watched.

Moving on I'm pretty scared of the Rays. They've got great pitching. I definitely prefer facing them to the Yanks but I'd prefer the Red Sox have gotten through and had to play a play in game. Boston totally ran out their arms and broke themselves in the last couple of weeks. They would have gotten swept. Rays just played it normal.

Anyway my predictions.

Yankees vs. Tigers (Yanks in 4)

I like Verlander to win his game but I like the Yankees to win the rest. They take Verlander on 3 days rest I still like the Yanks in game 5.

Rangers vs. Rays (Rangers in 5)

I really am not excited. I think we'd sweep the red sox but I think the Rangers are a better team and when lined up will take the Rays down again.

Philly vs. St. Louis (Philly in 5)

I think St. Louis is the most dangerous team in the national league to Philly and I like how they are playing but in the end Hallday, Lee, and Hamels are too much.

Brewers vs. D-backs (Brewers in 4)

I wouldn't be surprised with either outcome but I like the Brewers horses better. Both are roadkill to the Phillies.

Yankees vs. Rangers (Yankees in 6)

I think the Yankees are a terrible matchup for this years Rangers. Rangers give up a lot of flyballs (although with Ogando to the bullpen it isn't as bad) and will be playing in two parks that will hurt a lot given the Yankees talent. The Yankees also crush lefties. Rangers will be able to hit that staff but I don't think it will be enough.

Phillies vs. Brewers (Phillies in 5)

Yeah really don't think the Brewers matchup at all.

Yankees vs. Phillies (Phillies in 6)

I think the Phillies much prefer the Yankees to Texas or even Detroit given how they are set up to stop the Philly lineup. I think the Phillies have the Yankees totally outclassed in pitching and will be able to do enough to win.

Thank god I passed on stopping at the pub tonight. I'd have had my ass kicked for laughing as loud as I did at the Boston loss. Great watching though.
