DAMN! :freak:
When he does acoustic....it's marvelous to the 10th power...Live at a radio station, him, his guitarist/music director and a mic.. :thumb:

yeah that was really good.

I wish he could replace the studio version of this song with something like this. Also (as with the other live performances), I like the how there is a change during the bridge, which is missing in the studio version.

I like Kevin. Monte who?

P.S. Why on earth is Come To Me, Bend To Me so low on his live list? At the very least it's leaps and bounds better than Feeling Good live...

I've always thought "Feeling Good" was too high on the live list, it's only a minute and a half and sounds sick. CTMBTM is a much better performance.

I've never liked Feeling Good live that much. Studio version is out of this world. Live version lacks a lot of stuff that gives the studio version its magic and is pitchy more than once. Only real impressive part of it is the sustained D5 which isn't saying much in the grand scheme of things.

CTMBTM is amazing though. Hell, I'd put that in his top five at least. Live list needs to be reworked a lot imo...

Agree 100%.

The sustained D5 is not as impressive to me as the 22 second sustained phrase in CTMBTM. Great vibrato and breath support in CTMBTM, and better pitch.

At a radio promo Thursday, Lambert was in a small, intimate room. He opted NOT to use the speakers, but to sing totally unamplified. The mic was there only for the radio recording. A fan captured the session with her camera. This is the chat and BTIKM and WWFM. Hard to believe this is live and raw voice.

That was great, I loved the falsetto runs at the end! But he's confusing me with all the times he's changing the key. Studio version was in G minor, Ellen and Leno were F minor, the first few radio performances after that were Eb and D minor, and now it's up to E minor :freak:

I love it when singers try to sing acoustic / unamped. When they pull it off, it's really great.

I know you're on record as not liking the previous one at MTV/EMAs Greg, but MILLIONS of folks loved it and I hope you'll enjoy this one coming.
As I've said before....May and Taylor feel he's the right guy, as do many others.I think for hardcore Mercury fans, ANYONE singing in Freddie's place seems odd, especially if they aren't already a HUGE established star themselves. I do believe Lambert is up to the challenge though, based on his last performance and on the fact that Queen asked for him again.
I only wished now that I lived in the UK or that they were touring in North America as well.Maybe one day.......who knows
