It really is one of their finest achievements.

A truly remarkable and serious interpretation of Radiohead's work:

1. Bloom
2. Separator
3. Lotus Flower
4. Little By Little
5. Morning Mr. Magpie
6. Codex
7. Feral

8. Give Up the Ghost

I love this album, other than the unremittingly terrible Give Up the Ghost, which is my least favorite Radiohead songs. The only ones I come close to disliking as much are Hunting Bears (not a real song) and the Amnesiac Morning Bell (butchering of a great song, but not in itself a bad song). Also, Give Up the Ghost fucks up the pacing royally. It has no business existing, but if it did, it would have no business existing after Codex. So I hate that song. But other than that it's a brilliant album. And In Rainbows is their best album,* so I guess Radiohead just hit their prime.

*On the days I don't prefer Kid A.

Those are my top 3 as well, Pnoom, Separator being my favourite. I'm not surprised it's grown on you a lot, as I sense a real Can influence on this album.

There's been a massive Can influence on every album starting with Kid A. I don't know that it's particularly more pronounced here (certainly there are no homages as blatant as The National Anthem, Where I End and You Begin, or Weird Fishes).

I never really saw the Can influence on The National Anthem, but to be fair, I haven't listened to them closely for a while. I can certainly see it on the other two tracks you mention.

As far as The King of Limbs goes, I feel the Can influence is particularly pronounced on the work of the rhythm section - to me, more so than on other albums, although you rightly say that the Can influence has been there since Kid A.

Been reading this all day and it's been a fascinating read. Is the section with the 6 pieces giving context for Kid A the last section to find on this site, or does the analysis carry on, and I just haven't found the link for it?

For The King of Limbs

1. Codex
2. Separator
3. Lotus Flower
4. Morning Mr. Magpie
5. Little by Little
6. Bloom
7. Feral
8. Give up the Ghost (It reminds me of those stupid drums in videotape that ruined the song)

That site only goes through OKC, Kid A, and Amnesiac as far as I know (though I think it contains one reference to In Rainbows).

1. Lotus Flower 5/5
2. Little by Little 5/5
3. Separator 5/5
4. Feral 5/5
5. Codex 4/5
6. Bloom 4/5 (this is better live)
7. Morning Mr. Magpie 4/5
8. Give up the Ghost 3/5

"Give up the Ghost" is average on its own. Between "Codex" and "Separator" it is a major problem.

So does the site go through Kid A and Amnesiac song by song like it did for OKC, or is "Thuh Society Page" the last section of material?

I haven't gotten there yet, but:

"IMPORTANT: The end of one of these articles contains the link to move on from the world as Radiohead saw it in 1999 to Kid A..."

So surely there is something beyond the THUH SOCIETY PAGE, I would think. Or did you already find that part and it isn't what Georgi is looking for?
