I remember reading that, and not finding it. All I've read are the 6 articles mentioned on the first page of Thuh Society Page.

I doubt a Kid A or Amnesiac section equivalent to the OKC one exists. I did a search of the site using google for "The National Anthem" and it's not mentioned once.

Anyway, anyone who thinks Radiohead have lost their groove when last year they put out not just those King of Limbs songs I gave a 5 but also "Staircase", "Supercollider", and "Identikit" (the performance at Bonnaroo still being the best I've heard) probably needs to listen more closely. Daaaaamn son. This from someone who used to be thoroughly in the "King of Limbs is a sloppy nothing of a mess" camp.

immerse your soul in love is my favourite line in all of music and also my irreducibly simple life philosophy. there is no other way for me.

I always forget how great their lyrics are just because of Yorke's approach to singing. I don't mean that in a bad way, it's just something that happens.

Anybody want to make a list of Thom's best lyrical performances

for me I think i'd include Myxomatosis, Street Spirit, and probably Optimistic or Knives Out

I would vote for Nude. Sulk is another vocal that is soulful and powerful, too, but I don't often hear a ton of praise heaped upon it.

Sulk is one of their worst songs and is unremarkable lyrically.

The entirety of OK Computer is a work of art to be placed right alongside Infinite Jest as one of the most important statements-on-the-times-as-we-enter-the-21st-century, and each song (with the exception of the too obvious Electioneering) is masterful lyrically. "Don't get sentimental—it always ends up drivel." Is a better encapsulation of contemporary anxieties than that even possible? (No.)
