Damn, just went to my third Dam-Funk show, and I think it was the best one I've seen yet. He is now performing with a super talented bassist and the former Mars Volta drummer, who is surprisingly funky. His encore was a big medley of 70s funk instrumentals, which he began with Prince's "I Wanna Be Your Lover." Perfect.

Oh it's out? Or leaked? Decent quality?

I have a 268 VBR leak and it sounds just as good as albums I've ripped myself.

has anyone listened the album yet? i think its pretty good. wasn't immediate like manners was but it definitely gets better from the first to second listen.

A few times. It's not as consistent as Manners, nor does it have the same highs, but it's a good album all the same.

well i saw refused last night and liars on saturday. liars were okay, but refused, holy shit guys. my expectations were pretty low, aging punks i mean what do they have after all these years? turns out it was amongst the 10 best shows i have ever seen, completely mindblowing and fun experience, they sound as tight and loud as ever and dennis lyxzen's voice is completely intact. pretty sure i don't need to see another hardcore band for as long as i live.

Word, Refused were brilliant when I saw them a few weeks ago. Possibly the best reunited band I've ever seen.

i can't even begin to describe how good of a vocalist dennis lyxzen is even today. completely controls the crowd.

and there is almost nothing better than hearing thousands of people go CAN I SCREAM in unison and begin dancing wildly.

I regret not getting the tickets. The one day I was in school was when they were going on sale and Paul (Raul) had the tickets but then was removed after he entered his credit card. The other time I was waiting on another friend who did not get back to me in time and we missed our opp to get tickets. Sigh.

I think I'm finally really digging Los Campesinos! but I can understand why people don't really like them. I just really like the energy and the total :parrot: that they bring to their music. What other twee-punk bands should I check out?

Tiger Trap. Only had one year together, one album, but it's one of the best things ever.

And Black Tambourine, though it's not really punk, more like JAMC-style noise-pop, but it's just about as awesomeness energetic and frantic as twee gets.

Some underrated albums I think everyone should hear from 2010-2012

Daughn Gibson - All Hell (Indie Electronic)
Kind of sounds like what would happen if Johnny Cash had grew up on the Magnetic Fields
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWlYnd02mj4

Father Murphy - Anyway Your Children Will Deny It (Neo-Psychedelia)
Michael Gira and Jamie Stewart both have praised this band and for good reason. They go from whispered psychedelic ballads to apocalyptic avant-folk
http://grooveshark.com/#!/s/In+Praise+O ... 7Mcx?src=5

Jacaszek - Glimmer (Electroacoustic/Ambient)
This is the album of the decade to get snowed in with and having nothing better to do than drink tea and look out the window.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZbfAENlyos

Nails - Unsilent Death (Powerviolence/Grindcore)
Very intense grindcore but with a noticeable groove and a tightness that distinguishes itself from the fast, sloppy nature of usual grindcore.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6bx-Uhby7g

New Villager - New Villager (Indie Electronic/Art Pop)
TV on the Radio-esque art pop that is a bit less weird than TVotR and has a noticeable r&b influence
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hO4kllpegGc

Planningtorock - W (Art Pop)
This lady's music is like Lady Gaga's fashion sense. I don't believe Gaga when she wears a meat dress but if Planningtorock did that I would believe her.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWO9LweKzV8

Pop. 1280 - The Horror (Noise Rock)
Kind of standard noise rock but holy shit do they do it well. Imagine a slasher b-movie scored by Steve Albini. No frills.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMBDrQWIi_s

Trap Them - Darker Handcraft (Hardcore Punk/Crust Punk)
A more crusty version of Converge. That's all you really need to know.

This could be their next album title.
