add to that

Magnetic Fields + Matana Roberts + Joanna Newsom + Raincoats (playing their debut) + Young Marble Giants (!!! playing all of colossal youth) + Thurston Moore/ Jeff Mangum/Sun Ra Arkestra/Low/Earth, also Boredoms, Half Japanese, Robyn Hitchcock, Olivia Tremor Control, Group Doueh, Mount Eerie

ATP has consistently proven itself to be the greatest festival of recent times from just a purely musical point of view. other places might have more festive atmospheres, but every single atp lineup has made me weep for not being able to be there.

I really liked it. Baby, despite being a cover, is one of my favourite tracks of the year.

Anyone else listened to the new Ariel Pink album? Fantano gave it a 'strong 6', which isn't a good sign, but I'm a couple of songs in and I'm loving it.

I'm glad I'm not the only Needle Drop fan here

Dude, I brought him up ages ago, but the only reaction I got from anyone here was Want's disdain. He's probably the best music reviewer on YouTube, and one of the few reviewers I trust to discover new music. He deconstructs music so well in his reviews and as a good critic should, critiques things without just saying it's "good" or "bad" with fancier words (something I'm guilty of all the time). Dude got me in to some awesome music.

Did he like Ariel Pink's previous release? Considering I share a lot of opinions with Fantano, I'm not going to be surprised if I dislike it myself, their first release sounded too much like cheesy yacht rock to me.

I assume everybody here is aware of the needle drop, he's probably the second most popular source of reviews after Pitchfork these days.

I wasn't really aware he was that big. Then again I have kind of been disconnected from things for awhile.

I was there...in 2010 at the first Fantano videos in a black room.

same, his voice is annoying as fuck and combined with his choice of words his reviews are almost unbearable for me. plus his lil b reviews suck and made me decide to never watch another review of his again.

I get a distinct feeling that OK Computer will be pretty much the only high-ranking 90's album
