Any thoughts on the new Deluxe 40th Anniversary Edition of Leeds? The only reason I'm even tempted to buy it is because it is going to include the entirety of the Live At Hull show. I haven't seen a recording of that show anywhere, other than the few tracks officially released in "View from a Backstage Pass." For years the word was that Hull was an even better show than Leeds but that they didn't release it because they realized they forgot to record the bass track.

Let me know if you end up buying it, I'm really tempted myself.

I'm definitely getting it just for the Hull show. I think it's cheapest at thewho.com

Arrived in the mail, yesterday. Killer package. The Hull show is phenomenal. Wait until you hear the "My Generation" medley on that one. It's towering. I love how The Who never play these songs the same way twice. It makes every concert worth owning, especially in that era. The set-list is identical to Leeds, minus "Magic Bus". Apparently the crowd didn't earn it.

Only two days left! Every Encore series Who release is fifty percent off! That means you can get an entire concert DVD for $7.50!

Sorry I didn't post about this sooner.

We have to double-bold Quadrophenia, since a plurality of Who fans think it's their best album. And BBC Sessions deserves bold.

I was reading "1001 Albums to hear before you die" in a bookstore the other day, and had a quick look through to see which Who albums were in it.

Tommy, Sell Out, Who's Next and My Generation were all present, but Quadrophenia was strangely absent.

Needless to say I promptly put the book down.

So, there is one area of Tokyo with 200 bars in an area about half the size of Costco.

What does this have to do with The Who? Well, one of these bars in Who themed. Now, I really want to go.

I wonder which of those is the "Who-themed" one...

BBC Sessions still deserves a bold. And given the justifications for orange for many other artists, Quadrophenia qualifies.
