Musical impact (how do you guys determine that)
...don't know. Tried different versions everything looked wrong. Couldn't even say who should be at the top, who at the bottom.

I would say more like...
1. Richard

5. Wilson (his lack of widespread exposure kinda hurts him here, imo)



I would definitely put Redding above Richard, but other than that, you're totally right.
Jackie is far and away the most skilled rock vocalist of all time. That's one area where no one is going to beat him (the only possible exceptions being Mercury or T. Buckley).



I'm still not entirely sure what Cruz means by musical impact either. He said "how a singers career impacted rock music", but didnt really elaborate any further. I've just been personally using the same definition that Sampson always did - collective praise within the business - which is where Elvis towers above everyone else.

IMO, getting a head start on 11-15...

I'm still not satisfied with the top 10. The following names that Neg posted are better in criteria that Richard and Redding, except Daltrey and maybe Wilson.

Daltrey is being a little underrated here, imo.
If you look to his solo material, you'll see that he has tremendous skill and versatility, probably at least on par with Wonder there.
And obviously his influence and musical impact are huge. He was the definitive hard rock vocalist (after Plant, imo), and the embodiment of the husky, macho mid-range style that so many vocalists were influenced by).

I honestly think he even has a decent shot at being ahead of Wonder.
I'm not guaranteeing it, but I could see a case being made.

Much thanks to Jack (a.k.a. the infamous "knuckle9" from ddd's glory days) for showing many of us the wider spectrum of Daltrey's greatness.
