Has anyone ever gotten so frustrated with one of their faves making terrible musical decisions, that they kinda wish they just lost all ability to play and/or sing?

I've never let it affect me that much. Cornell's Scream was probably one of those moments.

anyway, this is what i missed...

"cuando muera..." :surprised:

i missed the concert, but i'm grateful to live on the same planet at the same time and breathe the same air as this man.
pat metheny called him the greatest guitarist alive. i think they're 1a and 1b. pierre's flawed but still knocking at the door to be second.

awesome video george.

anyways, tried to make two recordings.

this first one I was inspired to 'write' because i had just bought a classical guitar (from the DDD poster Ethan, actually). Pretty, pretty, pretty rough...I didn't try to do much with the composition because i didn't know what to do but whatever, here it is. Really need to put more emphasis on my thumb because the timing gets lost easily in the triplet flurry thingies.

This one is basically 90% me just moving a c-shape around. should clean it up a bit and work on some better transitions though.

anyways working on learning another fahey tune now. any of you guys try writing pieces for guitar? I always find it extremely hard making a coherent piece. don't think i've actually accomplished that yet.

pat's take on smooth jazz..... showing, once again, that it's not even the genre that's necessarily the problem...
