The fact that you consider "we did it for metal" to be bullshit proves that your questions are not worth answering. God forbid someone make music for an artistic purpose. Do you think that hip hop artists who made music for their love of hip hop bullshit too?

I have their greatest hits album and I find a good portion of it to be enjoyable.

Rappers love hip-hip, metalheads love metal, and I can appreciate that. But if anyone starts talking about some sort of artistic purpose as their sole or primary motivation, it's total bullshit.

Stop dodging. Answer the question. Why do you think glam and nu-metal are "false"?

P.S. Making something for your love of metal/hip-hop and claiming to make it for metal/hip-hop itself is are two different things; the first is entirely acceptable and the reason most people make music in the first place, and the second is entirely elitist bullshit that only the most unbearable snobs believe. Metal does not "need" people to released non-glam-and-nu-metal albums.
