i've been debating with myself for like an hour now whether I should offer Monta Ellis for Tyson Chandler. I know who I'd rather have on my real life basketball team, that's for sure. but Ellis is a good fantasy option minus the field goal percentage and turnovers.

does your fantasy league do fg% as a stat? Tyson Chandler would have a big edge there if that's the case. Otherwise, if it's just points, rebound, steals TO etc, i'm not sure. I would go for consistency over big scoring potential, though.

So who do you guys think would be the greatest fantasy players of all time if. Like if you could get players from the past to play? what would MJ's number's look lie in a fantasy league? Magic's? How would that compare to Lebron, etc.?

i think bird would be a great person to have. chamberlain would have had to be the best player. averaging about 40 pts and 25 reb a year for his first 8 years

yeah, chamberlain would have been ridiculous. Bird would have been pretty good for the modern era. Actually looking at his 84-5 stats (his first MVP) and comparing it to lebrons MVP from last year, Bird looks pretty good...

comparison
based on my leagues scoring (using basketball reference and some rough rounding):
Bird: 11 fp for rebounds + 5 fp for blocks/steals + 29 for points + 7 for assists - 1 for TO = 51 points
Lebron: 8 fp for rebounds + 5 fp for blocks/steals + 27 for points + 6 for assists - 1 for TO = 45 points

... and thrown in a few bonuses for both having double doubles every once in awhile.

Yeah, you're going to have to cut it off at the merger otherwise everything is thrown off by any black player from the 60s

in a keeper league, you'd most certainly want Kareem

someone offered me Garnett for Jameer Nelson. thoughts? Jameer has been inconsistent with whether or not he plays, but put up pretty solid numbers when he does. idk, Garnett's numbers compare well enough to Nelson's, but i need more mobility in my PG position. And am not sure how i feel trading one dinosaur for another. Anyone see any potential upside in this trade, though?

SAMS traded Rajon Rondo*, Bos PG to KARE
SAMS traded Danilo Gallinari, Den SF to KARE
SAMS traded Kosta Koufos, Den PF to KARE
SAMS traded Glen Davis*, Orl PF to KARE
KARE traded Luis Scola, Pho PF to SAMS
KARE traded Paul Pierce, Bos SF to SAMS
KARE traded Jameer Nelson, Orl PG to SAMS

I was KARE and that was a bad trade. the ironic thing is i traded nelson and pierce because they were old and i figured injury prone, then lo and behold both rondo and davis injure themselves and are out. Gallinari is playing well, at least.

just traded Nate Robinson for Nikola Pekovic. And that is how you "buy low and sell high." Someone get me a stock portfolio to manage.

ok so this trade just happened in my league by two other teams.

Vernon Davis
Doug Martin

for

Marques Colston
Pierre Garcon

i went on to say this trade was completely lobsided and should not happen. everyone told me to shut up and not try to manage other teams. they dont seem to realize it affects them too.
