It has come to my attention that Sippin on Some Syrup is eligible for the list. That is an enormous game changer.

i've been thinking that myself, it's really one of my favorite songs of his now. And listening to it in the context of Late Registration makes it even more incredible. If I wasn't picking LR on my album list then Gold Digger would surely be there, therefore Paranoid it is. "Paranoid" is just idk, I really have a thing for songs that sound like era defining songs, or at least a song for the urban nostalgia of twenty somethings, even if they've never lived in urban eras.

I may have to take some liberties for 12"s listed as EP's on RYM being eligible. RYM is always so dodgy when it comes to electronic music. I only say that because what a travesty if Omar-S's "Set it Up" couldn't get on the list. Talk about sublime as hell R&B vocals mixed in House.

This is a great single.

Say Anything is up there with Blue October and Straylight Run as mainstream emo-y rock bands that had a stellar run of albums and singles throughout the 2000's.

If I find enough songs-that-were-singles to make a list, that will definitely be high on it.

"Hate Me" by Blue October would be number 1 on my anti-treefingers 00s list. Every time i hear that song, I want to punch that guy in the face. my understanding is that the rest of that album is a lot better, musically and lyrically, though.
