No it is not. It is prove that he likes to make hyperbolic and provacative statements.

Couldn't it be possible that he isn't being hyperbolic and he really does like her drumming as much as Bonham and Moon?

I'm not hyperbolic when I say I think Neil Young is a better guitarist than Yngwie Malmsteen.

He could say that but then why draw the deliberate comparisons of talent to Moon and Bonham. He's trying to be provocative.

for the let's get it on/what's going on comparison, here is my song ranking of both combined

1 Let's Get it On
2 Please Stay
3 Distant Lover
4 God is Love
5 Mercy Mercy Me
6 If I Should Die Tonight
7 What's Going On
8 Just to Keep You Satisfied
9 What's Happening Brother
10 You Sure Love to Ball
11 Come Get to This
12 Flying High in the Friendly Sky
13 Wholy Holy
14 Inner City Blues
15 Save the Children
16 Keep Gettin' it On
17 Right On

now that I did that, I'm not quite sure why I did. Both are 10/10 albums

And who was he trying to provoke?

Oh yes. Snobby drumtards. More fucking power to him.

I also think Let's Get it On is a more complex album than just a guy singing about having sex. There's a lot of pain to go with the pleasure in that album

Yes! Don't tell me your heart doesn't ache listening to Distant Lovers.

Well, Sweet 75 is a pretty comparable situation, and how many people reading this even recognize that name? Heck, I saw them live once, and I still want to call them "Swirl 360" (which is also a pretty obscure band--they were a modern bubblegum/power-pop group--but they had more success than Sweet 75 did).

(For those who haven't figured this out, Sweet 75 featured the OTHER member of Nirvana, Krist Novaselic.)

yeah, i'd say this confirms my stance that the "Foo Fighters were popular because Dave was in Nirvana" argument is ridiculous. cause it sure as hell didn't work for Novaselic.

I'm currently making a rock bassists list, which will be a little more expansive than the official one. Bassists always get it worse than the drummer unless they're singer/songwriters, and as everybody knows I like to stick up for the underdog.

Shit even some of the greatest bass players like Entwistle, JPJ and Deacon are thought of by many people as the "other guy" of their respective bands.

I fucking love the bass.

I refuse to acknowledge the Foo Fighters are underrated when Wasting Light was called by so many as the savior of rock music.

I wasn't saying he wouldn't have been successful, I was saying that he wouldn't have the same critical acclaim.

also i never knew the dude from nirvana was the dude in the foo fighters i can definitely see that they're both like the same kind of boring disaffected music that's completely irrelevant to anyone above the age of seventeen with a personality
