All of the sexual scenes involving children use prosthetics as far as I can tell.

Are there any actual children in the film at all even if they aren't sexual scenes?

No shit, if they had really put an 11 year old boy in a film and had a 40 year old man buttfuck him, this film would not be made.
Obviously you have no idea what Dreww and I are referring to. Psychological trauma (for lack of a better word) does not have to be caused by something so extreme or literal.

Oh no, I know what it is you are referring to. You are simply overreacting. But again, you havent seen the film. Is it really worth discussing a film with an individual who hasn't seen said film?

If you know what we are asking then why are you incapable of properly answering the question?

Oh I'm not speaking out against it, just speculating on a fact. Its implications are its own.

Dreww: yes

Of course there are Dreww. That isn't even a question. It's fairly obvious - hence why so many bleedin' hearts like yourself are stirring up shit about the movie.

And again, cheers to those who spoiled major plot points of the movie without warning. Anyone reading this post who intends to watch the film would be advised to avoid the previous few pages.

Yeah, I'm a "bleeding heart" ("excessively compassionate and naive") because I think involving kids too young to make decisions for themselves in a movie about kid rape is abhorrent, even if the kid rape is simulated. I'm "excessively compassionate and naive" because I feel sorry for the kids who may have to grow up knowing that such films exist, that their parents contribute to the production of such films. GTFO with that shit. I'm not a bleeding heart. You're callous and reckless and value your own kicks over the mental well being of children. Get fucked.

So, do you think films that have anything to do with child rape should be banned?

I definitely wouldn't go that for. I don't think it's a topic that shouldn't be explored, but yeah it is a very touchy subject to work with in live action film especially with child actors. I think it really depends on how it's done, what they are participating in and how aware they are of the differences between reality and fiction.

This is a tricky issue for which I don't believe there is a definite answer.

I think there's a big difference between a film like L.I.E. and A Serbian Film. In any case, A Serbian Film could hardly be called a film about child rape. It's a film that uses child rape to provoke shock. I also am not sure that A Serbian Film should be banned, and haven't suggested such. What I am sure of is that the people who have made the film are abhorrent.

It. Is. Quite. Clearly. A. Film.

Many films have been made involving children and dealing with similar subject matter. I don't know why I'm even bothering discussing this with an individual who hasn't even taken the time to view the movie.

Don't judge me or make assumptions about my personality. Get off your high fucking horse. My taste in film does not define me as a person. I confess to having a strong curiosity in regards to the dark and morbid. I confess to finding these films and the subject matter absolutely fascinating, though I would not say that I get my "kicks" from it. However, I am capable of recognising the distinction between fantasy and reality. A distinction which apparently eludes you.

If I believed children had been actually harmed during the making of this movie, I would not support it as I do.
