The choir and water part had me yelling every 30 seconds.

This guy's reaction in another horrible spot is priceless

I've completed The Walking Dead. It's a masterpiece. I'm not sure it really qualifies as an adventure game, as it's not really about puzzle solving. It's like an interactive movie where your choices drive the narrative. And you're forced to make those choices quickly, which adds a truly harrowing element to the experience. Please do yourselves a favor and give this game a shot. You can get the first episode (five episodes total) for free on XBox 360 and PS3.

I started playing today and I'm inclined to agree. Just completed the dinner sequence from the second episode.

Yes! The second episode blew my mind. The third had my jaw on the floor. You are in for it.

I think it's going cheap in the Steam sale atm if you don't mind digital copies.

It's an incredible game!

Just saw it on Steam for just over £3 and snapped it up immediately.

Finished it. That was awesome. Are they making a sequel?

I'm falling in love with Fallout 3. At first I thought I might have made a mistake buying it, because it's such a dreary world and I was like, "Do I really want to spend 300 hours of openworld gameplay in this ugly place?" And I've also been getting kind of down on openworld games in general after reconnecting with how much fun linear games can be, such as Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Portal 2.

But then I stealth-killed a bunch of Raiders in an elementary school and another batch in a supermarket. And then did a run-and-gun with a couple Brotherhood of Steel guys against some super mutants to rescue one of their initiates. And then saved a little boy from a town besieged by fire-breathing, giant ants.

The game is fantastic. It's the combat system in particular that has really sold me on it, in conjunction with the entertaining missions. I love the way you can target your shots and how the game slows down to telegraph when you've scored a critical hit for the kill. Just wish I hadn't assigned so many points to my mele weapons stat near the start of the game. I'm going stealth and small arms all the way.

I'm falling in love with Deadly Premonition.

The gameplay isn't the best, but the characters, the atmosphere and the story is all immense. Has some of the most interesting and well thought out characters I can ever remember in a video game.

Playing Skyrim right now. It's a good game, but not nearly as polished and refined as Dark Souls. The combat system in particular is disappointing, though I guess most games would feel this way when compared to Dark Souls.

I'm getting dangerously obsessed with Fallout 3. Two nights in a row of five hours sleep just because I didn't want to stop playing the damn game. And it's irking me that I have 40 of 100 points assigned to mele weapons that I almost never use. Ammo isn't as rare in this game as I thought it would be. But I guess I'm helping that be the case by reloading my game until I achieve one-shot kills on baddies. That's the way to conserve ammo!

I replayed a scenario of encountering two Raiders in an open field a dozen times until I got the result that I wanted. I thought I had a great solution around my seventh attempt (shoot the grenade while it's in his hand!), but apparently blowing up his grenade, while awesome, gives you zero experience points for the kill. The ultimate solution ended up being a double head shot on the grenade-carrying guy followed by a targeted shot on the other guy's shotgun. Grenade-carrying guy's head explodes and then the shotgun is shot out of the hands of the other guy. Then I can just keep my distance from him while my attack meter refills and then take him out with multiple head shots. Two Raiders down with minimal ammo loss and zero loss of health. I am a post-apocalyptic superstar!

This game teaches bad morals. I just got good karma for shooting three people to death. Sure, they were cannibals and murderers, but I just set myself up as judge, jury and executioner. I guess morality gets fuzzier when it's a post-apocalyptic world with little to no government.
