Idk, a lot of people ranked on monster and power when they first came out, and they ended up becoming huge successes. I remember power initially was very controversial even though that song is awesome.

Kanye seems to be a bit of a trend setter, albeit a controversial one, so I can almost guarantee that people will flock to his new stuff like parishioners to a sermon. There will always be a divide though, but that's cool.

"Heartless" had people whining too. Don't fight it, feel it.

The difference between these and Power/Monster, is that at their core, those are pop songs, these new songs are very anti-pop. This could be a good thing if Kanye can successfully sell this trend though, and I'm really excited to hear the album that comes out of this.

Saw Kanye last night and I liked his new stuff. I had already heard New Slaves, and Black Skinhead, but the other three tracks that he played have potential to be really good. Just need to hear them in a cleaner enviornment (headphones)

Good call, Blood on the Leaves was the highlight for me. Dude knows how to make the most of a sample.

First impression, I'm seeing this as a mid tier Kanye release, around Graduation caliber for me. No obvious filler tracks, but nothing on here is fucking with the best of MBDTF or Kanye's first two releases.
