The Raiders defense is making me so happy right now. All of that bullshit about Rivers being the fantasy start of the week is backfiring now. Ahh, it's just the media understating the Raiders, what's new? First half shut out, fuck yes, what a way to start. That goal line stop on 4th down was awesome too.

Rivers put up 18 points. Hardly chopped liver. It is humorous that in your playoff projection that you're hilariously overreacting to one week events.

Not you and not me though. My opponent sure made my matchup easier though. Wouldn't have mattered as he had only one bench player available to start and two holes and I'm still beating him like a rented mule before Gonzales and Julio Jones play. Don't think Eric J. and Raul screwed it up either.

I'm 38 points up on the next highest guy. Pretty good week for me. Finally decided to start Fred Jackson and boy did he pull through. Romo managed to score more points than Manning so I'll probably get "best Thursday night football player" award, "most points" award, and "worst bench decision" award.

Kinda wish the Rams would start utilizing Tavon Austin's speed though. I'm tempted to cut him off my team but I know as soon as I do he'll become a weapon.

Everybody I started was healthy and playing this week. Looks like I'll finally get another win, only got 85 points but unless Matt Bryant gets 6 field goals and an extra point I should be good. My receiving corps (Marshall, Cruz, Wallace) is gonna dominate by mid/late season, I think.

I'm not overreacting to one week. That game proved that we're an all around better football team than San Diego. Dominated on defense and special teams and put up a great first half offensive performance. I think San Diego will end up in last place this year because they have a really terrible defense and no running game at all. We have a fantastic running game and an up and coming defense that I've really been pleased with in the last two games. Rivers got the same amount of points as the Raiders defense. Most of those points come from the 400+ yards that led to turnovers and punts. Rivers only had two TDs last night and it took him more than 3 quarters to get his first. Rivers played his worst game against us and so did Manning. It gives the D confidence. That's fine if you view me as another overexcited Raider fan but I'm just being optimistic and having faith in my team which I think will be solid in a year or two. Tarver's an outstanding DC. Wait till he gets more weapons on the defensive line.

I was more referring to your overall projections for the rest of the season but you actually proved no such thing. The Raiders played well. They also played in unusual circumstances at home. And San Diego isn't exactly great. Maddeningly inconsistent describes them. As for your points about the game verses the Broncos that's false. Manning actually had his worst game against the Giants.

Congratulations Chip Kelly. You are now Philadelphia's longest-tenured head coach of the four major teams.

Of course it depends on your team but my initial reaction is hell yeah (especially if his ~30ppg is actually half of your team's points)

Hey Crx (or anybody that knows about legal matters),
Would an American Indian group be able to sue Dan Snyder if he keeps being opaque?

Could you ask the question a little more clearly?

If Synder keeps refusing to consider changing the name 'Redskins,' is there some kind of prejudice law that keeping the name might break? Even in a civil case? I'm pretty unfamiliar with discrimination stuff (especially as it relates to free speech), which is why I can't ask the question more clearly. Hope that's enough.

sell high.

of course, i wouldn't. but that's an emotional thing. i picked Manning in the first round the year he was out for the season ffs. but you should definitely make that trade.

I doubt it. Keep in mind he's still not a government actor.

if nothing else it diversifies your risk. Say Manning gets injured, for instance, which could easily happen. The other three guys are a lot less likely to go down all at once. Who do you have right now that Jackson and Bush would be replacing though is the important question.

Unrelated to the above, I'm wondering about Jackson's value now that Vick is back on the injury carousel.
