Because he's a fan? My hopes for the Bears are always higher than I know they rationally should be. What's the fun of going into the season thinking "we're just gonna suck this year"? You have to invent reasons why your team could catch everyone by surprise. We didn't all grow up with dynasties.

ya but im a celtics fan and i knew they were gonna suck this year. i know what my teams are capable of. granted i didnt have high expectations for the sox this year and they ended up winning the world series (no, i dont think the celts can win the nba championship). i just dont know how you can think your teams gonna be a playoff contender when nothing really changed between seasons except pyor being the qb for a while but how can you expect much from that? its not that i think he should be pesssimistic about his team. theres nothing wrong with having high hopes but getting really upset with the team is over the top because it shouldn't be an expectation. they already have as many wins as last year. they'll probably end up getting 6, maybe 7 wins. at least the team's going in the right direction. i know the chiefs and colts had dramatic turnarounds but you could kind of see that with head coach and quarterback changes. i can't think of any way the raiders got significantly better between this and last season.

I'm an Ohio sports fan. Mediocrity is celebrated.

The Raiders piss me off so much. The best team at starting out fast and blowing it in the second half. I don't even feel like watching the rest of the season. Nothing to look forward to besides the draft.

It should be noted that you only got off to such a fast start because of an atrocious early non-reverse of a fumble call when Williams was clearly down by contact. Cowboys chunked through a bit early (Romo had the flu) but then asserted themselves because they are definitely a better team. Murray and Dunbar were fucking killing it.

^Seriously watch the slow-mo of his second touchdown. Strongest hands I've ever seen, and as good a catch as anything Megatron ever made. He's potentially the best offensive player the Bears have drafted since Sweetness.

He ain't nothing today compared to Decker though. Wish Decker was doing this next week in our playoff matchup.

Yeah no. Watch that catch. That is the catch that every receiver fumbles every time. Also the presence of mind not to tuck it into your body knowing that's where the defender's hands will be going. Decker ain't got shit on Jeffery (maybe route running and other important stuff but w/e).

It looks like the only indisputable conclusion that we can draw from this discussion is that Derrick Rose's knee is injured.

Which part? I'm equating the strength needed to hold onto the ball to Johnson's most acrobatic catches. If you think that's a reach then I think you're underestimating how difficult Jeffery's catch was.

(Not saying they're equal receivers by any means though.)
