I'd move "The Lone Ranger" ahead of "The Ritual". The rest looks good.

It's close between the last two but I'd say TGG's advantage in popularity is bigger than Australia's arguable advantage in acclaim. The rest is good.

I'd definitely move "Ådalen 31" into the top 4 and "The Man on the Roof" out. The former was an Oscar and Golden Globe nominee for best foreign film and won the Grand Prix in Cannes. TMotR didn't quite have the same international impact as the four films I'd put ahead of it so I guess #5 should be enough for it. Å31 should be #2 or 3.

I don't quite understand why you chose "The Wild Duck" over "Barnvagnen", "Fimpen" or "Victoria", all of which appear to be more highly regarded. I'll remove TWD and add Barnvagnen at the end.

The rest looks good.

First of all I'd swap #'s 2 & 3. The Moberg films are generally considered to be his greatest achievement and I don't think EM's advantage in popularity can make up for that.

Second of all I don't get the inclusion of "The Last Sentence" and would replace it with "Who Saw Him Die?", which won the Golden Bear in Berlin and helped cement his reputation after the success of "Here's Your Life".

"Knowing" beats "Garage Days" in popularity fairly easily while the difference in acclaim is minimal. I'd definitely swap these two.

I'd also swap #'s 1 & 2. "The Crow" takes initial popularity and acclaim, and arguably influence too as it was Proyas' breakthrough. "Dark City" takes lasting popularity and maybe lasting acclaim.

I'll definitely swap "In America" and "The Boxer". The former is both more and acclaimed and popular. Also "The Field" will have to go. "Brothers" beats it in both popularity and acclaim fairly easily. Actually I'll move it ahead of "The Boxer" as well, taking popularity while acclaim is about a tie.

8. Good Vibes
9. Your Highness
10. The Sitter

8. Smilla's Sense of Snow
9. Night Train to Lisbon
10. Marie Krøyer

"The Best Intentions" are way too low. In terms of popularity it may not do quite as well as some of the others but in acclaim it easily beats everything save Pelle. #2.

I'd definitely remove "The House of the Spirits". It was a huge box office flop and is the least acclaimed film of his entire output. Similarly I don't know whether "Night Train to Lisbon" really needs to be here. It got pretty bad reviews so far.

"Busters verden" should definitely be here. It was a pretty big success for him early on. I'll also add "Jerusalem" to the end of the list.

I could see some films in either order but all in all this looks pretty good. The only thing I'd definitely change is adding the "Police Squad!" series at #2, kicking off BASEketball. That would give everyone exactly one solo outing, which seems fair.

But it isn't like Twin Peaks or Spaced where they directed a number of the episodes themselves. The only episode they directed was the pilot.

True but they created and produced the whole thing. The series was clearly a ZAZ work, even though it was mainly directed by others.

So does this mean Joss Whedon and J.J. Abrams are eligible for their own lists? Cause I always figured they'd get lists when Age of Ultron and Episode VII came out.
