I finally beat all the expansions and got the three remaining Bobbleheads a couple of weeks ago (although I had to cheat for those last three).

I've logged over 70 hours of game time and I still have only found two bobble heads: medicine and lock picking.

My character is now so powerful, although still level 20, that I hunt deathclaws for sport. The first time I encountered them I had to lay a string of mines and then snipe them from a distance so that they would run through the mines. Four mines to take the thing out, and sometimes that wouldn't even be enough, he'd keep on coming. Bad ass motherfuckers.

Yeah, the first time I encountered them I had to use a ton of stimpaks. Now I pretty much just whip out the Tesla Cannon and kill them in a couple of shots.

If I remember correctly, a bunch of the Bobbleheads are easier to find while doing the main quest. Although I wouldn't recommend doing the main quest unless you have the expansions.

After basically completing the whole game (save a few quests that I'd need to do as a bad guy), I'd say this is one of my favorite games ever made. Probably top 5.

Two shots with a sniper rifle, or three/four with the combat shotgun. Stealth head shots, of course.

Really? I'm not far in the main quest, but I was holding off on downloading the expansions until I'd completed the main quest and most of the side quests. Should I not do that?

Yeah, this is probably a top ten game for me.

Definitely not. The game ends once you beat the main quest unless you download the expansions (well, one expansion but I forget which one). When I found that out I was pretty perplexed because if your goal is to get the main quest out of the way immediately (which I tried to do) then you literally can't play the game anymore unless you start over or go to an earlier saved spot and just ignore the main quest. That just seems like a bad idea to me, to add so many hours worth of gameplay unless you do the main quest, in which case there are not that many at all. Plus, the expansions don't really get in the way of the things that you can do in the main map if you download them.

Huh. Thanks for the heads up. I guess I'll start heading towards level 30, then.

Just hooked myself up with Counter-Strike Complete, anyone wanna join me? I can probably use some protection since I haven't played in almost ten years.

Since posting that I have found two more: melee weapons and bartering.

And since posting that, I just found Science and Perception. I'm on a roll. Not cheating, either.

I've been playing the aesthetically stunning The Cat Lady. It's a little buggy in places, some of the gameplay is a little underdeveloped and repetitive, but the story is good, the voice acting generally solid and it looks great.

Sounds like you've been doing some work. Vault 106 was one of my favorite vaults in the game, although Vault 108 was better, imo.

Yeah, I just stumbled across Vault 106. I haven't been doing the main quest past the first few missions. Just wanderin' around.

Came across the Roach King, yesterday. As I watched through my sniper rifle scope, she got up from her throne with her minigun, and I'm like, "No way can she see me." Turns out it was a deathclaw, which dispatched her pretty quick. Then it clambered to the top of the rocket throne and launched straight up into the sky until it was out of sight. Most hilarious glitch I've seen yet. When I approached the rocket throne, the deathclaw appeared out of nowhere and attacked me.

And, holy crap, now that I'm level 22 I'm encountering freaking albino scorpions and feral ghoul reavers. I feel like a level eight peon facing his first deathclaw. Five head shots on a feral ghoul reaver with a fully repaired Lincoln rifle to bring it down, and the first shot is a stealth automatic critical. If he's aware when you start firing, who knows how many shots it would take, since he kills me before I can find out. Cripes.

I love glitches like that.

Those feral ghoul reavers are vicious. Even at level 30 I try to avoid them if I can. My preferred method of taking them out is to hit them with a Tesla Cannon from a good distance away and then lay a bunch of Bottlecap Mines in their path as they chase me.
