moved to right thread. but i guess ill say brady looked like a boss for the first time this season. looked happy on the sideline instead of a scrooge like scowl like every other time this year. the offense is just dramatically better with gronk in there, heres to hoping he stays healthy and out of trouble.

Wow Rodgers hurt. There goes my fantasy football season. I should've never traded Peyton.

Why? If you had Rodgers and you got a large return for Peyton you made the right move. That Rodgers would get hurt was possible but it does not make the decision wrong.

Well, I got Reggie Bush and DeSean Jackson along with him so I guess there was some good out of it.

You would have been an utter idiot had you not accepted that trade (Rodgers, Bush, and Jackson). Don't make decisions based on results. Make them based on process

3 weeks seems awfully quick for a fracture.

I was wondering that as well. Seems a great way to reinjure it.

do collar bone fractures normally have quick recovery times? in high school a few of my teammates broke their collarbones but came back surprisingly quickly iirc.

They really should have put McCown back in at some point in the third quarter. That and they just thought about the 2 point conversion play call too much. This is the first game where I feel like Trestman lost it for us.

Nick Foles is both lucky and good. Nothing earth-shattering here. I just thought I'd post it.

And on a different topic: Banning Football in 1905 would have been the right move.

Garrett Fagan, history professor at Penn wrote:

Brett Favre built a hall of fame career off luck.

Also, I've only ever seen Foles in highlights, but with the exception of the Cowboy game it looks like he's played pretty well. Even last year, that's the kind of play that 5 years ago would have been considered "good" for a rookie quarterback. Obviously 7 TDs is not actually indicative of his current ability level, but I don't understand the confusion over the fact that he's even having success. He just seems like a pretty good 2nd year QB finding his groove.

well apparently he's still gonna be playing. i personally think they'll split the season series with the home team winning each time.

I don't think KC gets enough turnovers to beat Denver. Given the current rules I don't see any other way a top-tier defense can beat a top-tier offense without turnovers.

And the Ed Reed to Jets signing is official. He lost his job to Shiloh Keo. With the Texans he was constantly out of position so he had to shine on his tackling ability. He's been by far the least targeted safety in the league this season, only 3 targets in 148 coverage snaps. I'm seriously surprised he played that many snaps. I don't know, maybe Rex has a better idea of how to use him than Wade. It would make sense given their past working relationship. Ed Reed is claiming that he signed with the Jets over the Patriots and Dolphins if anyone cares what his other offers were.

Which head coaches do you guys think are on the hot seat? Obviously Joe Philbin but who else?

Schiano certainly. Garrett's done if the Cowboys don't make the playoffs and maybe even if they do but don't win. Would have said Scwartz but looks like Detroit will make the playoffs. Frazier's seat is quite warm. Rex Ryan and Ron Rivera (the two R squareds) have probably saved their jobs. Tomlin maybe but the Steelers are slow to act and he does have a ring. Kubiak is done. That's about the lot.
