Because he's not a brash, hypertensive bullshitter.

Wenger not a bullshitter. Now I've heard it all.

No, he's a bullshitter. A calm, softly spoken bullshitter. I prefer my bullshit coming from someone who doesn't look and sound like their one word away from an rage-induced heart attack.

Wow, you're saying putting over half a billion pounds into a team since 2004 will lead to eventual titles? As opposed to say, a negative of 25 million pounds? Hang - surely your major is not economics.

What FS said, Wenger's brilliant to listen to, and he just carries himself with a heck lot more respect than Fergie. I'm not calling him better than Fergie, just one whose approach I like more. I shall always hate Mourinho and probably never respect him, but I already said I think he's better than SAF already.

Who would have thought spending money would lead to titles? Clearly not Arsenal, unless they're actively trying not to win anything.

In Chelsea's case, a lot of that spending was pretty badly allocated. Spending large amounts of money doesn't guarantee one success, though it certainly helps. See: Man City's blistering European performances.

a top 4 finish must really be worth more than all the other titles beside the premiership right? I'm asking from a purely monetary sense. Will winning the FA cup or Copa Del Rey give you as much cash as playing champions league football and progressing into the latter stages? I mention the latter cause Arsenal usually succeed in that dept too.

In Chelsea's case, a lot of that spending was pretty badly allocated. Spending large amounts of money doesn't guarantee one success, though it certainly helps. See: Man City's blistering European performances.

They just built the most expensive stadium, outside of Wembly a few years ago - Only Bayern, and Juventus have built stadiums in the past 20 years, and have won a title - Juve's stadium cost about 300mil pounds less, and they are now going to be facing quite a bit less money coming in from recent reports; Bayerns stadium was helped paid by the German Football association to make it ready for the 2006 World Cup.

Spending large amounts of money actually does pretty much guarantee success (Barca, Man Utd, Chelsea, Bayern, Real, PSG, etc.). Man City's European performances doesn't have to do with their spending; it has to do with their European Co-efficiant - They are in the lower pot due to minimal european success, so they have to play some of the hardest teams - then playing the hardest teams and going out keeps them in the lower pot. A vicious cycle that I enjoy.

Purely monetary, its not even close. The difference between finishing in a Europa League spot, and eventually winning it, and qualifying for the champions League and making it to the Quarter Finals are basically similar in money earned based on performance.

League cups do not even come close to guarantee the same amount of money, nor the prestige - top players want to play in the champions League; if you're not in the Champions League, you're going to have a harder time attracting top talent, which is probably why Falcao won't sign for Monaco this season. He wants to play in the Champions League again

Falcao signed for Monaco? I wonder who will break the bank for Cavani.
