You can think what you want fancypants, but that's a clear indicator of poor sales reception. If they have to sell it at that reduced a price there's obviously a bad word of mouth reputation for it.

I got both NMH and NMH 2 used for $8 each from a bargain bin. They had more copies of the first one than the second one. Using my personal experience, I deduce that NMH2 should be higher for this reason alone.

I've seen Zelda games in bargain bins, your argument is moot.

And is this really what you're gonna stoop to? "It can't be that great because it didn't sell that well enough?", yeah NMH2 didn't sell that hot but neither did the original.

Earthbound, Shenmue, Beyond Good & Evil, Okami and pretty much anything Tim Schafer has done post-Day of the Tentacle all sold poorly and yet they're all common staples for "greatest games of all time" lists, I honestly don't think sales should factor in the rankings in these lists too much.

Iirc, Psychonauts kinda flopped too and that was definitely one of the best games for Xbox.

Why don't you stop using your sarcasm and show me these game of the year lists with NMH2 on them cos I've never seen one with it on it.

If only you spent your time Googling rather than formulating terrible arguments.

Speaking of formulating terrible arguments, top 10 Wii games of the year isn't all-time great praise for a Wii game considering the shovelware that system was cursed with. Certainly not enough to put it in the top 10 Wii games of all time. Top 10 games of the year overall (which I definitely remember SMG2 and DKC Returns getting) is.

Out of these, No More Heroes 2 appears once...on someone's honorary mentions list.

Donkey Kong Country Returns is on one of those lists at a low position, so I guess I'll move that down too.

You: "Show me the year lists."
You: "Year lists don't count."

Speedy goal post moving there, buddy.

Nice to know you don't have an argument.

and joe don't move DKCReturns down too much, I actually don't have too much of a problem with its current position.

Joe was just making a point about how terrible your argument is.

I don't see the point in us making a list if all we're gonna do is imitate other lists, especially from a complete joke like Ign. Also are you just gonna keep commenting for the sole purpose of talking shit about the Wii? You know this particular console war is over kid, we can drop this "Wii only has like 3 good games for it" BS now.

I don't even disagree that NMH2 is too high on the list and I don't think it should be above the original either, again just like I don't really disagree that TMNT1 isn't NES top 100 worthy, it's just... my god your arguments fucking suck.

Oh well, at least you didn't link to SydLexia this time.

I don't really need an argument to point out that your's is faulty. Popular games often show up in bargain bins because a lot of units ship. It's the niche, cult titles that tend to maintain their value most.

Its not a faulty argument, you just don't get it. My argument is that just because something makes it onto a top 10 of its own system for that year (which had a faulty library, like it or not) doesn't mean it should shoot to the top 10 of its own system of all time. On the list? Sure. But if it appears in a top 10 list of all genres of gaming, that's a much stronger supporting argument. I questioned joe because I found it hard to believe that NMH2 appeared on lists with Heavy Rain & Mass Effect 2 and sure enough I was right, his lists were all Wii-based.
