I dont think anyone doubts that Suarez isn't a great footballer. I personally think he's the best finisher in the game right now and pretty easily. But hes also a certified cunt.

He's one of the few greats I've seen live, against Fulham in 2012. Amazing player.

I dislike Suarez for his racism, biting and general Liverpool association. But I don't care, the handball against Ghana was totally the right thing to do and his comment after was hilarious to me.

As a Malmsteen fan, I've learned to ignore someone's personal life when they have other qualities I admire.

Then use my hauling down a guy about to scored with an illegal play in football (horsecollar being the most common).

and you think that's the right thing to do?

Because of the risk of injury no. But if it wasn't a safety rule? Absolutely

Italy going out with us would make me feel slightly better.

Yeah, but thats not what happened. Even when a player is being brought down, it is not a certainty that it would be a goal had he not been brought down - where as with the Suarez play - anything other than the complete breakdown of physics, gravity, and how everything works would have needed to stop for the ball to not be a goal other than Suarez's hand. It went from 100% to a lower number given the penalty kick, and that isn't right.

Oh no, not this again please!!! That's a reference to the above tedious debate that seems about to start again and not England being shit by the way.

It was a shame Costa Rica couldn't grab a second and ensure that a draw will do for Uruguay on Tuesday.

I'll give you an example. Last year against the Giants Tyron Smith horsecollared a player at the 1 keeping him out of the end zone.

But it isn't just 100% to less the player who does it gets sent off so there is a definite trade off

What in the world did I just watch? Why did I set my alarm for 2am to watch Italy forget about the offside rule for 90 minutes?

Yeah Bones nailed how I feel. I don't think Hitzfield is able to damage his reputation at this point though he just achieved way too much. I feel worse for Hodgson he doesn't deserve to go down in history like this.
