Yeah, it's his most popular but Beware of the Car is commonly considered his best. It also appears on every objective greatest soviet movies list I have seen, unlike Irony of Fate which is somewhat considered a bit low-brow and whose wide appeal among movie experts and critics doesn't quite match its appeal among general public. Other than that, you are spot on imo.

OK, I'll switch the top 2.

This is a list of films, mostly from 2012 or later, as a reminder for me that they might need to be added to the respective lists or moved up. Some are shoe-ins, others probably won't make the cut but all seem at least possible. Feel free to suggest placements for them or suggest other films I forgot, but please give reasons if they're not obvious oversights.

Woody Allen – Blue Jasmine
Wes Anderson – The Grand Budapest Hotel
Darren Aronofsky – Noah
Olivier Assayas – Clouds of Sils Maria
Michael Bay – Transformers: Age of Extinction
Bernardo Bertolucci – Me and You
Luc Besson – The Family / 3 Days to Kill
Bong Joon-Ho – Snowpiercer
Kenneth Branagh – Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit
Nuri Bilge Ceylan – Winter Sleep
Chen Kaige – Caught in the Web
Joel & Ethan Coen – Inside Llewyn Davis
David Cronenberg – Cosmopolis / Maps to the Stars
Jean-Pierre & Luc Dardenne – Two Days, One Night
Claire Denis – Bastards
Blake Edwards – Peter Gunn
Terry Gilliam – The Zero Theorem
Michel Gondry – Mood Indigo
Ron Howard – Rush
Alejandro Jodorowsky - The Dance of Reality
Neil Jordan – Byzantium
Abbas Kiarostami – Like Someone in Love
Richard Linklater – Before Midnight / Boyhood
Ken Loach – The Angels' Share
Hayao Miyazaki – The Wind Also Rises
Errol Morris – The Unknown Known
Manoel de Oliveira – Gebo and the Shadow
Park Chan-Wook – Stoker
Alexander Payne – Nebraska
Roman Polanski – Venus in Fur
Robert Rodríguez – Machete Kills / From Dusk till Dawn: The Series
Martin Scorsese – The Wolf of Wall Street
Bryan Singer – X-Men: Days of Future Past
Steven Soderbergh – Behind the Candelabra
Steven Spielberg – Lincoln
Ben Stiller – The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
Giuseppe Tornatore – The Best Offer
Lars von Trier – Nymphomaniac
Jan Troell – Truth and Consequence
Tsai Ming-Liang – Walker / Stray Dogs / Journey to the West
Apichatpong Weerasethakul – Mekong Hotel
Frederick Wiseman – At Berkeley

Gonna say no but I still would like to make some changes to Allen's list.

Firstly that is swapping #'s 3 & 4. The biggest difference between the two in any of the criteria is initial popularity and Hannah takes that with ease.

Secondly that is moving "Love and Death" up to #7. L&D has bigger initial and lasting popularity than the two films currently ahead of it while I don't see a big difference in acclaim.

Finally I'd say "Sleeper" would probably a better choice for the #10 spot than BDR.

This is an obvious yes. Clearly among Anderson's most popular features so far and highly acclaimed I'd say it should come in at #4 behind "Moonrise Kingdom" but above "Fantastic Mr. Fox". For #'s 6-10 I'd say:

6. The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
7. Bottle Rocket [1996]
8. The Darjeeling Limited
9. Hotel Chevalier
10. Bottle Rocket [1994]

A solid #6 and thus no way. An extension to ten entries is theoretically possible but the bottom three would be so insignificant that I'd rather leave it as it is for now.

At this point I'd say it should be no higher than #9 behind "Demonlover" and above "Sentimental Destinies" but it might climb in the future.

Well, it's only been out for about a week but it's probably enough already to top "The Island", which means it comes in at #8 behind Transformers 2. I'd say the movie that gets kicked off should be "Pain & Gain" (the lowest-grossing Bay so far) rather than "Bad Boys II". I'd also say "Pearl Harbor" and "Bad Boys" should probably be swapped.

"3 Days to Kill" isn't even Besson's. Don't know how it ended up on my list.

"The Family" though should be added. It beats "The Lady" fairly easily in popularity. I'm a little unsure about the rest of the lower part of the list but I'd say it doesn't need to be any higher than #10.

It should definitely move above "Barking Dogs Never Bite". It does beat "Mother" in popularity fairly easily but doesn't do as well in acclaim so I'd say #4 is fine for now.

Definitely no lower than #8 but no higher than #6. #7 sounds like a fair compromise.

EDIT: Actually, it looks like the film was a slight box office disappointment so maybe #8 would be better.
