Blake Edwards – Peter Gunn

This was an oversight when I made his list. I'd say #6 should be fine (below "Days of Wine and Roses", above "Victor Vicoria"). "Operation Petticoat" gets kicked off.

Terry Gilliam – The Zero Theorem

Received well enough so far to beat the bottom two.

I think this should indeed beat "Human Nature". #'s 6-10:

6. Human Nature
7. Fell in Love with a Girl
8. Is the Man Who Is Tall Happy?
9. The We and the I
10. The Green Hornet

I guess this should be #4 at least, probably even #3 ahead of "Frist/Nixon" but below "Apollo 13". I'd also say "Ransom" should be above "Backdraft".

In terms of popularity, Fando and Lis is clearly a notable step down from Santa Sangre, El Topo or the Holy Mountain Had, and I'd say the Dance of Reality is closer to the latter three instead of Fando and Lis. 2014 has been something of a return to prominence for Jodorowsky with the Dance of Reality and Jodorowsky's Dune, the reviews for the Dance of Reality are significantly better, and it did have a solid two-four week theatrical run in Chicago, so it hasn't only been seen by critics or the film festival crowd.

Yes, I will swap the two.

Similar acclaim but more popular than "The Good Thief". I don't think it's enough to beat "The End of the Affair" yet so #10 should be fine.

Should be enough to let it climb one step further and ahead of "Homework".

Richard Linklater – Before Midnight / Boyhood

Easily the most interesting update of these. First of all, "Before Midnight" has garnered enough acclaim to climb one step further and above "Waking Life" though I don't think it's enough to beat "Before Sunset" yet.

The most important question though is: Where will the most acclaimed film of the year place at this point? It definitely beats all of the others in initial acclaim but it doesn't have much influence yet and it's popularity is still building. I'd say #8 is the minimum but it can't get any higher than #6 at this point. I'll put it at #7 for now but anybody should feel free to make a case for it moving even higher (which it definitely will in the future).

Still a difficult list. I guess it could be there but doesn't have to so I'll just leave the list as it is.

Difficult. I don't think it can get higher than #8 at this point. I'll put it at #9 for now, kicking off "Ponyo".

Do you think Dinner for Five is eligible for Jon Favreau's list if it shared a credit with Chris Donovan?

I will answer this once I get to look into Favreau's list.

On second thought, I don't think it should be eligible, because Favreau hasn't had any input as a director on the show. Hullabaloo wasn't created by Binder even though it made his list, and I was considering requesting adding Last Man on Earth (created by Will Forte) to the Lord & Miller list when that came out (depending on how well it did, obviously).

Another no. And it's probably too early to extend the list to ten entries even though it may be possible.
