that game was so anticlimactic. i was excited for an end of overtime manning drive to beat his arch rival, and then fucking tony carter has to lose it on a special teams gaffe, prompting zephead's brady > manning claim. ugh

So the Colts have gone from beating all the best teams in the league to getting blown out by the Rams and the Cardinals. Joy.

Yes, because a one game sample size is certainly adequate to base the value of their entire careers upon.

Brady is incredible, and they're both in the highest tier of talent, but Manning is better.

Well, they're good, but they're not on Kurt Warner's level *gestures to 2010 wildcard game against GB*

Yeah if its ultimate playoff performance as the test (the manly mans way to judge) then Kurt Warner is hands down the best.

Seriously. The three highest passing yard totals in SB history all belong to Warner, and those are his "only" three appearances. I don't think people give enough credit to how amazing that is (he's also 2 two-minute drives by other QBs away from potentially being 3-0 in the Super Bowl).

Also with 2 SB losses and a collapse in the '06 AFC Championship I think it's extremely debatable that Brady is the best "big game" QB. He's 7-7 in the playoffs after starting 10-0. I'm not saying he's not one of the greatest of all time, that I'm not still lucky to have seen him play, etc... But the idea of him always finding a way to win has been fading for quite some time now. Do the Pats always have a chance with him playing? Sure, but I could say that for a good 5-6 guys in the league.

i worded this wrong and i was a little fucked up last night so bear with me.

im really not basing this off one game. it all adds up, all these games that manning is fucking awful just add up and nothing he has ever done can make up for all the wrongs. how many times does this dude have to choke before you realize that brady is just greater no matter what way you look at it. what will you guys say in january when these guys play again and brady beats him again? all the numbers are completely meaningless when manning pulls the shit he did last night. he was a god damn pussy and brady was a fucking man, plain and simple. it's what it all comes down to at the end of the day. brady is a more fierce competitor. You HAVE to look at more than the numbers when comparing these two. clearly the two best quarterbacks of this generation and both are top 5 all time. You have to look at games like this to determine which one is greater. not even just pats vs. manning because clearly belicheck is a factor. he plays shitty in big games ALL the time no matter who hes playing.

this-brady-manning extravaganza is getting absurd now. its like ya the cardinals and cubs are rivals but one always wins and one always loses (red sox-yanks before '04 applies here too). Brady is 10-4 against the Colts.

Brady has choked more than Manning in the pat 9 years. Period. You're just a fucking blind ass homer. Manning pulled off the most impressive drive of the game (the only drive that even went 70 yards) into tough tight windows. They were playing conservative football for most of the game and gashing the pats on the ground (i.e. why would they thorw a bunch).

All of this is a bunch of fucking nonsense. In fact if you looked at Brady's playoff career in reverse he would have had the same labels applied as Manning. He's been absolutely awful against any decent opponent. But continue to believe this if you want. I've talked to players who think your full of shit. Between Shula, Gibbs, and Parcells you've got a 2-1 against you. I bet if you asked Bill Walsh his opinion he'd go with Manning too. What Manning does on the field is something no one else can do. And it doesn't disguise the fact that Brady has been bad this year (and not just because of his receivers). Last night was his best game of the season. He's been lucky to win as many games as he's had with his inaccurate throws and poor performance.

Yeah your fanboyism bias is pretty absurd, and this message did nothing to mitigate the damage to the validity of your opinion that was made with your previous comments.
