Has the Madden Curse hit anyone harder than Vince Young? I feel genuinely bad for how his career has turned out.

For the first time in 87 years a UT player wasn't drafted. Thanks a lot Mack brown. Though it's ludicrous that Jackson jeffcoat didn't get drafted. He's going to have a better career than half of the ends that were drafted. And ironically, despite all of the shit he got during his rough and disastrous first 3 years of college at UT, Garret Gilbert did end up getting drafted. So I'm really happy for the guy.

While I'm incredibly satisfied with the Texans' draft, I'm curious as to who we're going to start at linebacker. Cushing and Mercilus are definite starters, and Reed is adequate enough I guess. Wonder if we're switching to a 4-3? Could be. Either that or we need to make free agent signing.

Risky pick but huge upside if he stays healthy

Yeah, I'm starting to question bb's "genius" and I'm going to say he's simply trying to baffle people.

He'll retire when Tom Brady does and leave a bunch of inexperienced, "baffling" players so nobody can live up to his legacy.

they're definitely trying to win right now. it isn't like bill at all to go out and sign someone with the kind of salary revis has. hes gonna be even better here than he was with new york. before i get a he's not in his prime anymore and that he'll never return to his best form, remember that people were saying the same thing about moss and belichick is a way better coach than rex ryan.

Yeah, but the contract the pats gave revis is the only way to handle that guy. I was talking more about his drafting doesn't make much sense...could be that the mocks that are put out seem pretty logical, but the kipers and mcshays always seem to whif...I'm pretty sure the pats just flat out lie to those guys

Not however a better defensive coach or teacher and user of defensive talent than Ryan so that's kind of a silly statement.

i still think revis will have better year this year than he ever did with the jets. when the pats had players at the same caliber as revis they won super bowls, rex ryan did not. he hasnt had a defensive player as good as him in a very long time.

Seriously, what does one thing have to do with another? The Pats didn't win those SB rings because of Brady bro, they won em because of the cornerbacks. Should of known.

Actually their defense was the most important factor in their victories but A) that had a lot to do with the overall defensive talent and not just the QB of which Bellichick does not have now, and (ii) they were running young Tom Brady out there (who was not Tom Brady we know today) instead of Mark Sanchez which is a big difference

i know they won super bowls because of defense. this is the best defense they have had since that run. it might not be as good but their offense will be better than any of those teams.

None of that means Revis will have his best year.

The Saints signed a paralyzed player, in a symbolic act to show their empathy. What a wonderful organization. I totally forgot they were receiving bonuses for tearing ACLs a couple years ago.

No I see no evidence that this is their best defense since the title run. Their best defense in recent years maybe. My point being that the Jets defense those couple of years was arguably better and if they had had a better QB than Sanchez they could have won a title.
