Yeah, still hard to go past a NZ v Aus final, but NZ vs SA and Ind vs Aus will all be pretty tight semis if that's the way it goes. After my analysis from yesterdays match I don't think I'm prepared to give any more strong predictions. Such a horribly inept Sri Lankan performance and they just proved every one of my points wrong. I still find the SA team to be very beatable, though, and there are only a few guys to look out for. The way the Lankan's played the spinners yesterday was ridiculous because Duminy and Tahir shouldn't be picking up the majority of your wickets. I think Tahir might be one of my most hated players left in the tournament. The way he celebrates wickets is so insanely over the top that I can't bear to see him get another. He's worse than Shane Watson getting a wicket.

He and Shane Watson are both ex-Hampshire. Must be something in the water over here. Tahir is so ludicrously camp.

We need a couple good matches now. Can't be having any more lopsided games.

They celebrate rubbish wickets in the same manner that the Indian fans celebrate singles.

So another one sided game which gave the hint of a contest on the cards, only for the Pak fielders to revert to type and be shit.

Some park cricket catching and batting from Pak tonight. I don't think 300+ or anything was on the cards but 250ish was an option with some sensible batting during the middle overs. They've only got brainless hackers or guys that build pressure on themselves and their team by not rotating the strike. I don't think Australia bowled particularly well today. Wahab Riaz was clearly the bowler of the match and that spell to Watson was one of the best and most intense of the tournament. It really could have been a different game had those few catches been taken. I think Australia still would have gotten over the line but they are still a little suspect in a tight chase I feel. They bat deep and Faulkers and Haddin can and have done rescue missions but I think the batting deep call makes much more sense better when batting first. Eh, I guess it was pretty damn comfortable in the end but still nervy.

India v Australia will be much more of a contest but I still see Australia winning that one especially if they bat first.

This world cup desperately needs some decent semis and a good final.

That said, hats off to Martin Guptill!

Yeah I saw Yousha posting a few statuses about it on facebook and there were a fair few comments on them too. I get their feeling - that the big side got the rub of the umpiring decisions again and the no-ball was a shocker - but if we're honest India would probably have won the game anyway.

To be fair wasn't that NZ's first win in 7 semis?

Even just following text commentary was exciting! Can't wait to see the highlights and very pleased by the result.
