Lavezzi's game has never been about scoring goals. He's a decent second striker that acts more as the attacks engine. He played his best football at Napoli like this with Cavani. Throw him out on the wing and his play will suffer - PSG's attack is built around Ibrahimovic. Tevez is probably the better player overall, but has always been complete shit for Argentina as well as a complete flop in European competitions. I would personally start Lavezzi over him with Higuain as the main striker. This is assuming Messi is not playing of course.

Moyes plays Mata, Chicha and Kagawa and surprise surprise, they link up brilliantly to give United's best performance of the season.

he has not even close to been bad. He made two defensive errors, one in the champions league with Messi, and one in the prem. Thats it.

Demichelis is not in the top 3. Fonte, Dawson, Davies, Distin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Terry & Cahill all have more clean sheets than Demichelis. Though Demichelis has played fewer games than all of the above. I've only watched Demichelis in the big games but your stats do surprise me. I'd written him off on the basis of what I've seen in a handful of high profile games. Too old, lacking a yard of pace etc. He is also getting pilloried by all and sundry in the media over here. Yours is a lone voice - which is not to say it's wrong. It just took me by surprise.

Then it must have been the average clean sheets I was looking at because Squawka and Whoscored had him higher. I don't think he has been poor, and has matched well with Kompany and Nat.
