I think he means R/B/Y, as in all versions of the first iteration of Pokémon.

All versions as phrased has to include gold and silver. Either way, the versions should be specified for clarity. Also, unless the list specifies that it includes American games only, the Green Version should also be listed as it is slightly different from the American Blue Version (technically, American Red and Blue are improvements on the Japanese original Red and Green).

Btw, if you look at the index numbers -- http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/ ... ation_I%29 -- you can find out which pokemon were originally intended to be in R/B/Y/G, but were deleted.

i'm not an expert on creating lists, I am new here but here's my top 10:

2. Pokémon (all versions)
3. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
4. Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
5. Donkey Kong
6. Kirby's Dream Land
7. Metroid II: Return of Samus
8. Mega Man V
9. Dr. Mario
10. Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3

games which should be included in 11-20: Wario Land 3, Donkey Kong Land, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages/Seasons

not bad, I would actually have Oracle of Seasons/Ages replace Dr. Mario, but that's a solid top 10. I'd throw Megan Man IV in the top 20.

Well, i think that dr. mario beats in popularity and impact is moreless none for both, i'd say oracles are not really worthy of top 10

and yes, all versions means all versions

DQIII was an NES game, I don't think the port 13 years later is that significant (and it had already been ported once on the SNES).

oh yes, sry about that, i somehow totally forgot that it's a port.
I also decided to divide Pokémon into 2 generations, since they are different games.
I als switched around SML and SML2 since SML is more recognizable, started a new series, is more popular and it sold more, even though I personally think SML2 is a better game.

1. Tetris
2. Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow
3. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
4. Super Mario Land
5. Donkey Kong
6. Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal
7. Kirby's Dream Land
8. Metroid II: Return of Samus
9. Mega Man V
10. Dr. Mario
11. Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3
12. The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages/Seasons
13. Final Fantasy Adventure
14. Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
15. Kirby's Dream Land 2
16. Donkey Kong Land
17. Shantae
18. Wario Land 3
19. Mega Man IV
20. Mario Tennis

I think SML2 is definitely a better game too. I probably sunk more hours gallivanting around that game than any other Mario.

Kirby's Dream Land 2 was my favorite Gameboy game for sure, before I got Pokemon anyway. Maybe my favorite platformer from the 90s now that I think about it.

Not these days. Their recognizability is about even. Maybe, maybe 2 is more recognizable because its where Wario was introduced. Most gamers have a negative reaction to the first SML nowadays.

can anyone help a bit with the list? I am not too familiar with game boy games, just found it weird there isn't a list for them yet so I'm not probably the best person to do it...
