As far as r/soccer goes, most of the fans feel that their team is unfairly hated by other users; it's a side-effect of the way Reddit is set up. Dislike of Arsenal on Reddit probably stems from the fact that Arsenal fans are by far the most numerous, making them both more likely to be the target of "banter" as well as being genuinely resented due to their popularity.

Yeah, they are the largest, and thus probably do get most of the flak. Still not warrented in my opinion.

Arsenal are a danger team in the UCL. It's better for the England coefficient if they make it.

Arsenal haven't beaten anyone decent in the CL for years. (Nor have United really, before Rob jumps on me!)

At the risk of sounding biased, Chelsea have pretty much singlehandedly maintained the coefficient for English clubs in the past few years.

It's okay, it's our fault. Other than the one year we played AC Milan, in the last five years we've played Bayern Munich twice at their strongest, and Barcelona twice at their strongest -- almost advancing twice, and almost advancing against AC Milan, too.

We really should have finished first in our group this year so we didn't have to play Bayern in the first round again.

Almost advancing and almost winning is Wenger's calling card.

 ! How have I never seen that before? Brilliant.

I have a tactic I want to try and employ in a game. So, the keeper only gets 6 seconds with the ball, right? Well, when the keeper gets the ball in his hands and if you're leading in a tight game, all the players stand around the box and the keeper tosses up the ball to his them and they head it back and get 6 more seconds with the ball. Just keep doing that until time runs out or until the opposition rushes up to prevent it and launch it forward. Easy.

I really would like to see any other manager try and do better with a club that over a decade period, even with a 42 million pound purchase, were still in the positive in the transfer window by 10 million dollars.

And to be honest, I am quite proud of Arsenal on a few of those occasions. We played Barca better than anyone I have seen during their best period and won; same with Bayern. This year, we are 1-1 during the 120 minutes of 11v11. Ozil's Penalty really was the turning point.

Money wise yeah, they've done well Arsenal. Still no excuse for repeated mental collapses when push comes to shove. Wouldn't put it past them screwing up against Hull

I live in Hull and my wife and all her family etc. are all fans, most have season tickets etc.

I am a Derby fan and I refused to go to the FA cup semi-final and also the Cup Final. I just said I didn't want to spend 15 hours on a coach, and get home at 3:00am and be the only person on the bus or in that end of the ground who didn't want Hull to win !!

She doesn't understand that I don't want ANY other club to win any game. She thinks I should support Hull because I've lived here or 25 years. I try to explain to her that makes me want Hull to lose even more.

She went to the semi and will go to the final without me and that's fine. I wouldn't ever expect here to go and see Derby with me.

I really do feel that you can 'follow' other clubs in other leagues etc. but the passion is reserved for one club only !!!

PS

Its her birthday today and she asked me to get tickets for the home league game against Arsenal this Sunday. I relented for that, but I am going begrudgingly !!

Come On You Gooners !!
