I'm not sure I agree that TBB was a "kid's show". It was geared toward a specific type of audience, but not children exclusively. Also, what shows should round out the top 10? I'm thinking Mary Tyler Moore and Taxi are two solid candidates.

Certainly Taxi and the MTMS are solid candidates for the top 10. For me these below are the shows at the top level.

I Love Lucy
The Honeymooners
Seinfeld
All In The Family
Taxi
The Mary Tyler Moore Show
Cheers
Get Smart
The Phil Sivers Show (Sgt. Bilko)
The Dick Van Dyke Show
M*A*S*H
The Cosby Show
The Odd Couple
Sanford And Son
Married With Children
The Andy Griffith Show
Happy Days
Curb Your Enthusiasm

Would it be possible to do a side list of the Greatest Sitcom Characters? Obviously in the upper tier would be your Archie Bunker, Lucy Riccardo, Ralph Kramden, Al Bundy, The Fonz, George Costanza, Hawkeye Pierce, Louie DiPolma, George Jefferson, etc.

I think you nailed it pretty much, but The Jeffersons should probably be in that grouping as well. Maybe not much evident influence, but lots of acclaim and popularity, especially when it comes to being mentioned and parodied on other shows.

I'd put that in the next group, which still might make it top 20.

Hard to say, but I'd imagine Top 50, perhaps.
