so what does everyone think of disney's plan to adapt for live action some of their most celebrated animated films?

cinderella came out this year, beauty and the beast is coming in 2017, the little mermaid is being made into a live action film (sofia coppola recently dropped out). i think it's safe to assume we'll see a live action aladdin, hunchback of notre dame and mulan in our lifetime.

Sounds like nostalgia-based cash grabs for people who grew up with these movies. Although I haven't even seen Cinderella so it might actually be good.

Cinderella was pretty mediocre. I do not have high hopes for this trend.

i've heard mixed to fairly positive things, though certainly no glowing praise for anything other than production design. i still want to see it, though. i'm weirdly interested in kenneth branagh - hollywood director.

Bad films may or may not be made and it might not extend past a mere trend, but I think the idea is pretty cool
