Really struggled between Blade Runner and Empire (literally both Top Ten for me), but settled on Empire. 2001: A Space Odyssey for #3.

Dare I do what I've been doing with my music poll homework to this poll? I'd have to watch/rewatch everything. Damn that's a lot of work!

2001.
If I watch Eraserhead again, will it mean more to me the second time?

It'll be so worth it, though. That and you may actually come around on Fury Road!! :eyebrow:

Only a select few (Magnolia, The Son, Tree of Life, maybe Blade Runner and Empire Strikes Back)

Yeah I plan to get the 3d blu ray to watch since I wasn't able to see it in theaters that way. A lot of its aesthetics just weren't poppin in 2d. And seeing how only the aesthetics is all that movie's got going for it...*dodges tomatoes*

I actually liked the movie less in 3D. Distracted from the sublime imagery, imo. That quickly got fixed when I saw it again in 2D right after

I think it is incredible both ways. Seeing it in 3D was Gravity level shit for me. If not better. But I've seen it enough now that I'd say 2D is probably the canonical format. At the same time I would also say that those who missed it in 3D missed out.

George Miller said that the silent B&W silent version (?!!?!?!) was the best version, but it doesn't seem like it's on the Bluray anymore?
