I never said my team didn't spend money. But you can't be serious if you're comparing Liverpool to the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, etc when it comes to splashing cash on transfers.

Um and why not? You guys spend shit loads and more importantly you guys spend shit loads in much more fruitless ways. You guys waste a ton of money on transfers.

Also the team I support is DC united...a salary capped MLS team....so you could see how I could perceive Liverpool as being big spenders. I'd guess they are top 10 biggest spenders on transfers in the past 5 years.

edit: just looked it up and since 2010 Liverpool are the 6th highest spending club, in front of Man U, Inter, Bayern and Juventus....

Is this true that Liverpool are bidding 75 million for Reus? When we have all these problems with the defence?

Rumors have been floating around. I doubt he'd go to Liverpool for any price, though (unless he does, in which case you are all to consider this to be "satire")

Just when you thought it was safe to watch the Greek national team play again, look who they go ahead and appoint as their new manager:

Makes little to no sense for Reus to move to Liverpool or Dortmund. He speaks very little english from what i've heard from him. SO ARSENAL IT IS!

Yeah, Italy is the rumour. I'm reading Pirlo's book at the moment and he speaks very highly of Conte. He sounds like an all or nothing manager so I can see him being burned out. He doesn't speak so highly of Allegri. If Pogba and Vidal are leaving, though, yeesh.

Has it been that long since Liverpool played champions league football? Plus Reus is simply better than all the guys you listed.

Why are you jumping ship so fast on Jordan Henderson? He has one of, if not the best work rates in the premiership, and is an ideal linking player. Honestly, of all the English players he's one of the few who actually did his damn job this summer...run, win ball, distribute, position, repeat.

So James is allegedly being sold to Real Madrid for well over $100 mill. Kroos for over $30 (a good move). Meanwhile Ezequial Garay was sold for $8 million to some club in Russia. What the fuck are these top teams doing? Get your shit together. Garay for $8 mil > James for $100 mil.

And what makes you think I'm jumping ship on Henderson? I've said it from time to time and I'll say it again, he WILL be the next Lampard/Gerrard for England. He is developing into one of the best CMs in the BPL right now because of all the things you said. I didn't list him because he isn't a winger. Sometimes he would play wide left or wide right but he wouldn't really wing if you knew what I mean. He's best in the center mid role next to Gerrard. It didn't work out with England but it works well for Liverpool. Many of our fans are saying we lost the title race because Henderson's suspension and how it left that role unfilled.

Because that's how Brendan Rodgers likes to play up top - wingers convergin on the box, and with expectations to challenge for all 3 titles you're going to need depth, and if you get reus, that leaves you still with only two proven players at the position.

I really don't see the point in wanting to pursue khedira (who is being overrated so hard right now) when you already have Henderson.
