But in the World Cup we barely beat North Korea 2-1

North Korea parked the bus hardcore in that game. The one where Maicon scored?

That was the third game and neither team needed a win. You both could have lost that game and still advanced. It was meaningless.

and of course there's the Dutch game which is infamous for how Dunga couldn't tactically change anything at halftime.

You guys were leading at halftime and could have been up more if it weren't for Stekelenburg's goalkeeping. The Dutch goals were incredibly flukey.

Not to mention he also had Kaka and Robinho when they were in the best form of their career, Luis Fabiano when he was one of the top scorers in Europe, and great defenders in Maicon, Lucio, Juan, Gilberto Silva, Felipe Melo, etc.

Kaka was most definitely not in the best form of his career. After 09 he was pretty much a shadow of his overrated self. Robinho was never really that good IMO. Agreed on the defense and Fabiano, but hey they were fantastic throughout the tournament. Again, you guys lost on some pretty atypical goals and would have probably reached the final if you advanced.

After the World Cup Dunga was hired by the Brazilian club Internacional which I support and he was an absolute mess. He lost control of the team so many times throughout the season that I lost count. Again he was always tactically confused in games. Teams would figure him out in the second half. I just don't think this is the solution Brazil need if they wanna bounce back right away.

I don't watch the Brazilian league so I know nothing about this. I do know under Dunga you guys recorded 42 wins and 5 losses, which is quite impressive. A lot of elite coaches have had their fair share of nightmares.

So we're about to break our 14 year transfer record on Leo Ulloa (signed now, officially confirmed on Monday) for a reported £7.5mil.

A bit underwhelmed, but at least Ade fecking Akinbiyi is no longer our record signing, christ!

I hope y'all stay up.

Bored and taking a bar study break so here's a prediction about the relegation clubs next season:

QPR (this is more about want than any actual thought)
QPR again
QPR a third time

Loving what I've seen from Jordan Ibe. This kid has massive potential. Pacey, good with his feet, creative. He's got what it takes for LFC.

He showed a lot of promise last preseason. Wicked shot on him, pace and strong on the ball. But his decision making needs work. A bit too selfish at times.

Okay, so according to l'Equipe, who I'm told are extremely reliable, Didier Drogba is set to sign a year contract with Chelsea next week. Could this transfer window get any better? My penis can only get so hard before it becomes a medical issue. We already have a potential starting lineup of:

Code:
         Costa

Hazard   Oscar   Schurrle

    Fabregas    Matic

Luis   Terry   Cahill   Dave

         Courtois

From his world cup performance, Drogba obviously has the ability to swing a game simply by stepping on the pitch but it still seems an odd signing. Hopefully Chelsea can progress in Europe and just bring on the Drog for a certain back against the wall goal. Lukaku is still not out of the picture either.

I think the reasoning is with a lot of the Chelsea old guard gone, there needs to be that big personality in the dressing room to rally the troops so to speak. Also Lukaku idolises Drogs, to have have him around as a player/coach will hopefully do wonders for his development. Even if he just plays against Arsenal in both games he will be well worth having back.

It all seems set for him to retire at Chelsea (omg the tears) and start his post-career in the staff at Chelsea but, man, could you script a better last kick of a ball for Drogs career at Chelsea than the 2012 UCL?

I think I agree with this. [in regards to MH17 shot down over Donestk]
