That's the thing though, I wasn't as confused about the characters as you think! I knew 'a little bit' about certain things before watching the film but , I honestly think you've overreacted here. It's not even that mysterious, Lynch has made a lot more weird and outside of the box type films since imo. As for the story of Laura Palmer, well, isn't easier now for me to watch the series knowing her back story. Seriously, I'm going to ask my friend whether we are all talking about the same freaking film.

Se7en

I just realized that The Dark Knight is the not-good version of this movie.

I took my dad to see this (dollar theater, yall) and it loses a lot after the second viewing so now it's more like this. First viewing is worth it though if you want to see a good Depp performance.

But seriously Se7en handles all the same themes of cynicism vs idealism that The Dark Knight does, but in a way that actually makes sense, leaves things open to interpretation and isn't completely retarded nationalistic nonsense, it's The Dark Knight for smart people.

Just imagine if Fincher got to direct a Batman movie, instead we're getting fucking Zach Snyder.

And your life revolves around getting excited for shitty movies so I think we're even.

Actually no I just couldn't help but be reminded of it watching Se7en, it revolves around a hardened hero who is getting ready to retire, a psychopath who claims to have a greater purpose and an idealist up-and-comer who becomes corrupted in a spectacularly tragic way, I don't think the comparison is a stretch.

So the last hunger games movie wasn't as shit as I was expecting. Pacing was pretty lol but the ending was satisfying.

Suspense building was on point. Using a few fake-outs to set up a dramatic jump-scare was a bit cheesy but still effective and it got the heart racing. Never watch with a full theater of fangirls/boys though.

looking forward to them (which i do) and my life revolving around them (which it doesn't) aren't the same thing though. you seem to live and breathe hatred for nolan's batman movies.

I read that there's going to be an animated reamake with Dory and Marlin from Finding Nemo playing the leads. They're calling it Fishtar.
