When possible, please use existing threads rather than starting a new one. In this case, for instance, there's a Jazz Albums thread, so since you thought that Alpert might have been jazz, you could have posted it in that thread.

I'd Include Minute by Minute by The Doobie Brothers on the 1978 list. I think it does well enough in popularity alone to get it on the list, but it also got a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year, so I think it scores at least a little bit in musical impact too.

I've thought about doing a rock box set list, though I doubt that I'll ever actually do it. Maybe the top of the list would look something like thIs:

We have replaced "(Mama) He Treats Your Daughter Mean" by Ruth Brown at #589 with "Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd.

It seems most sources list it as 1950, but I see now that a couple do list it as 1949. As far as I know, we don't have any definitive way to determine which is right.

Are you sure about D.O.A. being from 1949? Wikipedia and TSPDT say that it's a 1950 release.
