It seems most sources list it as 1950, but I see now that a couple do list it as 1949. As far as I know, we don't have any definitive way to determine which is right.

From that list, I'll second Bjork and PJ Harvey. Courtney Love shouldn't be on the list as a solo artist. Her band Hole would be a far better choice, though I'd say even they fall short.
