Re: Movie Directors' Top Films
I've made all the requested changes to the Farhadi, Favreau and Fincher lists. Nothing I disagree with.
Any thoughts on "Freedom! '90" for Fincher?
I think its influence, acclaim, and cultural popularity exceed what The Killer (and very possibly a couple of Fincher's other films) has achieved ...

Re: Top 10 Songs by Popular Rock Artists (Revision Version)
I'm seeing Autechre live later this year, which made me want to give their list a much-needed update. They're a very difficult act to narrow down to just 10 tracks, but this is about as close as I can get:
Autechre (update)
1. Flutter
2. Gantz Graf
3. Bike
4. Clipper
5. Altibzz
6. Eutow
7. Slip
8 ...

Also, Kingpin below Shallow Hal makes me sad.

Re: Movie Directors' Top Films
Could be wrong, but I think there's a case for Fincher's iconic music video for "Freedom! '90."

Re: 300 Greatest Popular Music Artists
Sorry Bruce, I think having Swift over even Madonna is overkill. Madonna's been relevant for more than four decades and massively popular for at least two of those, and she clearly has had more influence, setting new standards for performance, fashion, and cultural commentary that have impacted ...

My guess is Taylor is likely worthy of the top 100. Pretty acclaimed player, for sure.

Re: 97th Academy Awards
I wish Nosferatu had been nominated for best film. I watched it a couple nights ago. Easy 9/10, for me, and very possibly a 10.

I'd flip 2 and 4. Plus, that would align with the overall movies list.

Re: Greatest Movie Villains
A nitpick, but the demon in The Excorcist is named Pazuzu and not actually Satan, even though the demon says that he's the devil in one scene.

Re: Greatest Movie Villains
And though he's more of a dark omnipresence than a traditional villain, I can't help but consider Sauron from LotR.
Another notable evil-incarnate is Darkness from Legend.

Re: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Mana getting a nomination before the more celebrated and revered "Rock en Español" act Soda Stereo is icky to me. Plus, I just can't stand their vocalist.
If it's any consolation, I've heard a lot of Latin American music fans and writers complain about Mana getting the nod before Soda Stereo ...

My picks:
Soundgarden
Joy Division / New Order
OutKast
Mariah Carey
Chubby Checker
Oasis
Bad Company (Paul Rodgers should be in with SOMEbody)

I'd go with that, too.
