Good to see this new forum up and running. Thought I'd kick off the end of the year with some obligatory predictions for the top 20 list:

The Maybes: The Substance, Challengers, Furiosa, Inside Out 2, Deadpool + Wolverine, Flow, Nosferatu, The Seed of the Sacred Fig, All We Imagine As Light, Gladiator II, A Real Pain,

The Longshots: Memoir of a Snail, Look Back, The Room Next Door, I'm Still Here, Civil War, Kinds of Kindness, Didi, I Saw the TV Glow, Love Lies Bleeding, Babygirl, Longlegs, Queer, The Apprentice, Heretic, The Girl with the Needle, Maria, Moana 2, No Other Land, A Different Man, Hard Truths

From what I've seen people talk about I'd say The Substance, Challengers, Furiosa and Inside Out 2 are also locks, unless they flopped absurdly or were panned and I'm not aware.

Inside Out 2 surpassed The Lion King to become the highest-grossing animated film of all time and is currently the 8th highest grossing film of all time.

I'd agree with all of that. Furiosa was a box office disappointment but it's very well liked. IO2 doesn't have great acclaim.....but with popularity like that it's hard to deny a spot somewhere in the back half of the Top 20. I'm considering up to 5-6 animated movies for my list personally.

Inside Out Part 2 should be a lock for the top 10, tbh. Easily the most popular film of the year with really good reviews as well.

IDK...just seems like another Pixar movie to me. The reviews are good, but not that good - The Wild Robot in particular is much more critically acclaimed and has higher audience scores. IS2 certainly is a lock though, I think I have it around slot #13 right now.

Judging by the past years, I don't think so. I just don't see Inside Out 2 as low as you got it unless we heavily favor acclaim over popularity. Deadpool & Wolverine being in the top 10 isn't out of the question to me, given that the first Deadpool made it to the top 10 of 2016.

Arguing for moving up one of the highest grossing movies of all time with solid reviews =/= arguing that every shitty blockbuster is top 20 worthy.
