Well, I'm admittedly biased toward A.I., since I love it so much. Still, Temple of Doom wouldn't look out of place. Not that it should necessarily count for anything, but Spielberg himself seems the least proud of the latter.

I agree that it's a crying shame to kick off what is imo Spielberg's most inspired film for yet another Indy but decisions being a crying shame is not and will never be part of the criteria.

Word. I guess Temple of Doom would take it, with wins in both popularity and influence.

I'd lean towards Duel at #10.

I wouldn't mind that either. Spielberg's second most inspired film?

I vote "Duel" as well - certainly one of the most important/significant Made-For-TV films of all time for sure. I think it also makes sense to create some space between the two Indiana Jones sequels, as they are pretty far apart on the 80's list.

I'd argue that space between them is fairly unjustified, but I'd be fine with Duel at #10, I guess.

Well, Duel takes acclaim less easily than IH&tToD takes popularity. Influence is another (rather close) win for IJ&tToD. Am I wrong?

I'd agree with that, but I don't think Duel at 10 is ridiculous.

Between the two, I lean toward Temple of Doom at #10. It's probably a smidge stronger criteria-wise.

Do we plan on revising the 1980s list if so?

They're very close and it was the last swap I made. As I see it, OuaTiH probably takes both overall popularity and acclaim by a very slim margin with neither having much influence.
