I think Sinners is probably the 2nd most acclaimed film of the year, only after One Battle After Another, while I think there's clearly a bigger difference between the two in popularity.

I also think KPop Demon Hunters popularity and impact is too large to leave it out of the top 3, I'm not even convinced OBAA should be above it.

Sinners/OBAA/KPop Demon Hunters aside, here's what I'd suggest for a compromise
4. Marty Supreme
5. Weapons
6. Sentimental Value
7. Frankenstein
8. Ne Zha 2
9. The Secret Agent
10. It Was Just An Accident
11. Zootopia 2
12. Hamnet
13. Superman
14. Bugonia
15. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle
16. F1
17. No Other Choice
18. Train Dreams
19. Avatar: Fire and Ash
20. Wake Up Dead Man

I like this compromise.

Think as long as cultural impact is not a part of criteria and it's too early to talk influence, OBAA > KPop Demon Hunters. Sinners should prolly be #1 though.

We've definitely given movies credit for influence the year they came out though (Dune, EEAAO, Avatar 2).

I think it's ridiculous for a movie spawning four top ten hits, simultaneously, while being a boost in international popularity for Korea (even leading to a significant boost in tourism), to not get credit for that.

I'm thinking:

1. Sinners
2. One Battle
3. KPop

Is a fair compromise for now (I'll admit Kpop was too low on my draft). Who knows what can change in a year or two.

I would agree with this to some extent. This is why I would prefer Sirat + The Voice of Hind Rajab instead of Avatar 3 and F1.

I'd keep F1 at least, it was nominated for Best Film at Oscars (though people made fun of this fact obvi) and has good audience acclaim. As for your suggestions, I'd rather include The Voice of Hind Rajab than Sirāt.

I'd keep Zootopia 2 over Superman as acclaim seems somewhat comparable while Zootopia grossed a lot more.

I think Weapons takes popularity by more than Sentimental Value takes acclaim for sure.

Looks good to me. I'd also support Frutopia 2 over Superman.

I agree with having Avatar on the list.

Is this really necessary? It clearly under performed compared to the sequels. Pretty low Metacritic score with "meh" audience scores and critical reception. I don't think it is a necessary inclusion.
