I'm against vigilanteeism, but I'm in favor of moving to a single payer health care system so that we have a system that better meets the needs of patients.

I personally know very few people who are in favor of assassinating people they don't agree with. I understand collective frustation around insurance and litigation in the USA, but certainly do not support the assassin, and would hope he would pay a steep penalty for his crime.

When I watch the footage, I don't see altruism. I see Johnny Somali. I see a white upper-class version of the knockout game.
Mangione Family Enterprises? Mangione Family Foundation? The more we find out about him, he going to start looking a lot less heroic.
And I read the manifesto; the smug, self-anointed sanctimony will never end. I was probably almost as obnoxious when I was in my 20s. But I'm not a backshooting SOB.
