So, Henrik has said there won't be anymore updates to AcclaimedMusic. This limited updates seem to be final:

Wow, I wonder why he's hanging it up. And I'm surprised no one would be willing to take it over.

He's long had health issues that kept him from being online much, plus work and family. Here's what he wrote on the Acclaimed Music forums the day before yesterday:
Henrik wrote:Dear all AM forumers,
It is with massive regret that I have to say that there will be no more AM site updates.
I am particularly regretful to all of you who have spent hours and hours on posting lists and helping me in the Help wanted topics.
A half year ago, someone very near me got a serious illness. That person is much better now, but their illness became the definitive call to myself that I need to make serious changes to my own life to get stress relief and improve my health. The first step was to cut off all the work on AM. Now that I’ve done that for several months, I do feel better but I am still far from fully recovered. And I feel the stress again by looking at all my unread posts and all the critics' lists that have not been added to AM.
I have considered doing future updates based on just lists that are easy to add (mostly all-time and decade lists). But I feel that it wouldn't be interesting enough (for me) to continue in that way. I agree with those of you who think that it's far more interesting with critics' lists that pays attention to stuff that aren't already on AM, or lists that go deep into specific genres, countries or artists. But even with all the great help from you it is out of the question that I will add any more of such deeper lists.
It feels inevitable to stop the main AM site work now. However, I'd be happy to keep this forum open. For polls and such, as well the critics' list section. Of course it will be very appreciated if anyone would still like to do things like the Mega Critic Chart and EOY spreadsheet summaries! Also, I will definitely support and try to help transfer information if someone wants to start a new critics' lists site.
As a small consolation, within a few days maybe, I will post a last minor update here in the forum. Only new positions for the albums and songs already on AM, no albums or songs from 2020-2024. The new positions will be based on the lists mentioned
here and
here.
Apparently, a followup site is already being planned by the poster called VacantJoy.

Nice. Good to see someone will essentially pick up the mantle.
I totally get it -- this kind of hobby can take a toll on one's mental well-being, especially if you're a perfectionist or obsessive. List-making and data aggregation can be mentally taxing. In the next couple of years, I think most of the heavy lifting will thankfully be handled by AI -- assuming you don't find the tech particularly nauseating, LOL.

I think AI is fine for that kind of mechanical tasks, but I don't trust it for choosing which lists to add and how to balance all the biases and such.

I wouldn't trust it, currently, but I do think in a couple (maybe even five) years, the level of sophistication and discernment will basically be there.

BTW, speaking of AcclaimedMusic again, VacantJoy, who had always been kind of a douche, started derailing the thread, in which Henrik announced his farewell, eventually losing it completely and getting himself banned in the end. For everyone who still thinks former DDD posters are the only ones liable of creating outrage at AMF. No, they can do it without us. This means the future of AM is still in limbo.

Is that the same guy who was asking for donations a while back?

I don't know where to write this, but Queen's song Son and Daughter appears twice in their top 100. This should be removed and replaced with, for example, Death on Two Legs (a very unfortunate omission).

I replaced the second "Son and Daughter" (97) with "Death on Two Legs".
Thanks for the heads up.
