For those of you who like instrumental progressive rock, what is your take on post-rock?

Even if you're not a fan of "Mr. BUNGLE" and Swans, there is a dark crispy proggy side of post-rock + revival that I don't see mentioned very often.

Mice Parade could be one of the only acts to pull off this level of psychedelia and alien feeling with such a strong familiarity and warmth.

65DAYSOFSTATIC is mainly known for the No Man's Sky soundtrack, but should have done the soundtrack for The Matrix.

THREE TRAPPED TIGERS gets lost in the shuffle of similar aesthetics, but are a much more fine tuned example of the genre as a whole. https://youtu.be/lWOwLKcqb40?si=8QZNWwczfGuPZeTk

Sleepytime Gorilla Museum is one of my long time favorites and the only band I hold in a higher regard than Rush. Truly sophisticated and experimental music, it defies definitions and categories withe exception of "Metal". Although not post-rock(metal), they aren't not Post-Rock either.

Thanks for checking out my recommendations! Please post your post-rock favorites below!

I like Swans a lot. Haven't listened to a lot of other post-rock.
