Seems to me that Bob Wills is too low. Massive influence on country music, mixing of rural and urban styles would set the stage for development of honky tonk and rockabilly, brought black music into rural white spaces.

I always see documentaries and animation referred to as film.

Thing about Socrates is not only did he leave no works, he left no attributable philosophy. Almost everything attributed to him is actually attributable to Plato, and everyone after Plato simply quotes Plato.

Plotinus and Avicenna seem far too low. If we were talking about the most influential philosophers they would be top 10, at least.

Come Together is carried by the bass line so I don't really see that incredibly basic chorus riff making any lists.

Zach Bryan is fine I guess, as is Stapleton and there are some great artists like Isbell and Blue Skies who make an appearance but just a painful list to make really.

Without a doubt the worst albums list this site would have produced.

Scavenger's Reign I could see (haven't watched it yet) but no Genndy Tartakovsky cartoons ...

Over the Garden Wall and Samurai Jack are "anime-style"? Since when?

I'd look at it roughly like this:

Influence: BS >> IM (especially in terms of foundational importance to heavy metal)

Acclaim: BS < IM (I think IM has the broader recognition and is probably more universally regarded as the classic riff)

Popularity/Iconicity: BS <<< IM (this should be ...

So in this case you value recognizability over innovation and importance to guitar playing?

"Black Sabbath" invented the genre of heavy metal and changed the course of heavy rock more generally. If you're going to be consistent, there's no way it can't be. You already have "Iron Man" in your top 5 anyway.

The other two riffs, though, really aren't far behind when it comes to recognizability and iconic status--the Zep riff especially. Both are instantly identifiable, deeply ingrained in rock culture, and widely regarded as all-time great riffs. Where they separate themselves is that they also clearly ...

Yeah there's some good names on these lists but far too much weight is given to name value.
