Starting to think I lowballed Astro Boy a bit. It's definitely behind the 4 shows above it in terms of acclaim (in the west at least) but I think it clearly makes up for it in influence and cultural impact. I moved it from 13 to 10.

My main question with this is still the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies cartoons and the like. They truly transcend the medium, but it's difficult to measure how much is it because a show, the movies, all the marketing around it, etc.

I don't think they should be included. They were theatrical cartoons brought to TV. That feels like a different medium. Pave started a Looney Tunes list last year, and I think a devoted list like that is the best place for them.

The Monkees should be in the 60s list. It won an Emmy for Best Comedy Series in 1967, beating out four shows that are included on the list.
