Starting to think I lowballed Astro Boy a bit. It's definitely behind the 4 shows above it in terms of acclaim (in the west at least) but I think it clearly makes up for it in influence and cultural impact. I moved it from 13 to 10.

My main question with this is still the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies cartoons and the like. They truly transcend the medium, but it's difficult to measure how much is it because a show, the movies, all the marketing around it, etc.

I don't think they should be included. They were theatrical cartoons brought to TV. That feels like a different medium. Pave started a Looney Tunes list last year, and I think a devoted list like that is the best place for them.

The Monkees should be in the 60s list. It won an Emmy for Best Comedy Series in 1967, beating out four shows that are included on the list.

On second thought, it pains me to say it because I love it, but Better Call Saul seems kinda high. Its popularity is really helped by being a Breaking Bad spin-off, and while very acclaimed, during its run it infamously didn't win almost any awards, partly because it competed with the better regarded show: Succession. Succession could maybe also move up, it's now lower on TreasureTV but its legacy has only grown since the last update.

It might be a bit high, but I wouldn't want to overemphasize the emmys too much. Keep in mind, Better Call Saul's final season was also released after the last treasure tv update, so its stature has also arguably grown a bit. I could see Succession > Chernobyl and Fleabag though.

Adventure Time should definitely be higher than Gravity Falls. Really, for popularity and acclaim, it should be much higher than it is now anyway.

The general impression I got from the sources I use is that Gravity Falls is more popular than Adventure Time, less acclaimed, but Gravity Falls seems to have slightly better audience acclaim, and if I had to choose one to be more influential I'd say Gravity Falls. The three shows above them, Westworld, This Is Us, and Downton Abbey, all had very strong viewership at their peaks, higher than Adventure Time's, and seem to be similar, if not stronger in acclaim. I don't see it being clear cut at all that it should move up.
